Mark, the owner, did a great job of advising me on options, costs and other differences! He was extremely helpful in my decision-making. The refacing of the cabinets was far cheaper than replacement, and wasn’t needed. Refacing was far cheaper and much more professional looking than painting and when his men were done, they truly looked brand new! The look was awesome. I would definitely recommend Mark to do your cabinet refacing!

Mark was the best contractor we've worked with in all our years as a homeowner. Mark was great to work with. We refaced all the oak kitchen cabinets, changing to white, and replaced a bifold door on the pantry with cabinet doors. He worked with Lakeside Surfaces for the Cambria quartz countertop. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the work, and the kitchen looks great!

• First off, let me state unequivocally that my experience with Mark Renard's Cabinets and Counters Direct was the most positive one I have had with a home improvement firm in my 20 years as a homeowner.  Below is a summary why:

Education: Mark was very thorough and spent a great deal of time with me and my wife teaching us about what we should consider when redoing our cabinets.  When we called, we had an idea of what we wanted to do, and Mark made sure he provided multiple options, the pros and cons of each, so that the end product would be exactly what we would love.
  • 2.  Options: Mark had a wide range of cabinet options, multiple price points, and a "no pressure tactics" approach to providing multiple options for us to choose.
  • 3.  Timeliness: Mark and his crew were always on time.  He often preceded his visits with a reminder call to make sure all parties were ready.  In addition, they met every deadline that they gave to us related to starting and finishing the job (They even finished one day early).
  • 4.  Professionalism: Both Mark and his crew were extremely professional and treated our home with the same care as an owner would.  Even though, with the sanding and refacing work, it could become very dusty, the team went to great lengths to mitigate the mess and cleaned up each day before leaving.

 
In the end, the real proof is in the work.  And that is where we were most pleased.  The craftsmanship of the work was beyond our expectations.  Every corner was tight and had no gaps.  Every small nail hole was filled and/or stained so that there are no visible markings.  Each cabinet door was perfectly installed to ensure no gaps and clean even lines.  My thanks to Mark and his team for such a wonderful experience.

Wonderful experience from start to finish. All works looks great and areas cleaned  up well, after the job was finished.

From the time Mark Renard,  the owner,  came to give us an estimate for the cabinet refacing and new granite countertop everything was handled in a very professional manner.   On his first visit he explained the entire process from start to finish.  He made suggesions, showed samples, did some preliminary measuring,  talked about his suppliers and gave me some background about his company.  He also gave me a realistic time frame as to when the job could start  and how long it would take.  He assured me that his installers were very good and I would be pleased with their work.  That night he emailed me an estimate that was competitive with 2 I had gotten from other contractors.   I chose Mark's company because of his professionalism and how he scheduled his work to be completed in a timely fashion.  Once the decision was made to hire him  he came back out and did a final measurement,  answered all my questions and guided me through the color/cabinet style selections.   Again, I appreciated all the time he took and did not rush me through this process. 
For the granite countertops Mark gave me the name/address of a supplier he uses and suggested I go there to pick out the granite a few weeks before the project begins.  I did this and was very pleased with the supplier.  From there Mark arranges to have a company come out to the house to measure and explain their installation process.    Again, he handles all the arrangements which made it a  simple, worry-free process for us.   
  Our kitchen is a galley kitchen and not really that large.  The installers,  Carlton and Andy, arrived on Monday morning and got to work.  They covered the kitchen doorways so that the rest of the house stayed clean. They worked the entire day and came back the next day completing the entire refacing in 2 days !!   Their work is exceptional.   The cabinets look brand new and if I didn't tell people they were refaced no one would know.   Mark stopped by on the second day to see their progress.  
On Thursday morning the granite countertops were installed by the granite company.  Again we were very pleased with their work.    On Friday morning Mark stopped by to be sure we were satisfied  with the job. 
We are extremely pleased with our kitchen and the oversight Mark provided to the entire project.  He coordinated so well with his suppliers that he made what coould be a stressful project into a beautiful kitchen remodel in less than a week.   

Mark Renard was great to work with! He explained everything in detail and helped us through out the whole process from estimate, to blueprint, until completion. He made sure we were 100% satisfied with the finished product. Carlton did an amazing job refacing the cabinets! We love them!

This project went very well from start to finish.  First, Marc, the owner of the company came to our home and gave us a plethora of options for refinishing our cabinets.  He looked at our kitchen and gave us several good suggestions on how to improve what we already had, without purchasing brand new cabinets.  We chose our cabinets and counter tops and he gave us a quote based on our choices.  After speaking with multiple vendors, we chose Marc because of his professionalism and his attention to detail.  Because he only works on one project at a time, he was very honest with us about when he would be able to start and how long it would take to do the job.  We booked our appointment in December, 2013 and he told us he would be able to start the job in early February.  We were anxious to get started, but we trusted that we were doing the right thing by waiting on Marc's company to do the job.  He seemed very reliable.  As he told us, he contacted us in early January to schedule the initial appointment to measure the counter tops to make sure he ordered the proper amount of materials.  He then scheduled our start date for Monday, Feb 3rd.  He assured us that they would be done by Friday, Feb 7th.  We were hopeful, skeptical since no contractor we ever worked with finished the job on time.  But low and behold, Marc kept his word.  His workers arrived on time that Monday morning and worked straight through the day with no problems.  They worked diligently the whole week, despite bad weather on one day and completed the job, on time.  They were done by Friday at noon!  We were elated.  Both the cabinets and counter tops look fabulous!  We have a whole new kitchen and it was done by professional and courteous contractors.  I would recommend this company to anyone looking to refurbish their old kitchen and make it look showroom new!  Great job Marc!

I absolutely love my new kitchen, it is small but was in very bad shape with old cabinets and counters and a closet that had a bi fold door for a pantry.  Mark came out to measure and provide an estimate and time frame for the project.  The cost and time frame ended up being exactly what I was told.  Carlton and Andy came on the appointed day, worked all through the day and completed the project a day earlier than expected.  My kitchen is not only functional now but very beautiful!

This was a positive experience and I recommend Mark Renard and his team. Mark made sure my every question was answered prior to committing to his company. My husband and I are on the picky side, and were pleased with the result. While there were tweaks and corrections to be made throughout the process, Mark was more than willing to accommodate us to ensure the job was done to our satisfaction. The crew was professional and there was relatively little mess to deal with during refacing.

The owner of the company, Mark Renard, came out and gave us a pre-quote and talked to us with some scenarios. He came out multiple times before we ultimately decided to hire him. He did a great job. He gave us 4 different alternatives, everything from refacing to completely tearing out the cabinets and installing new ones. I'm really happy with how it turned out.

One small glitch in the measurement of three cabinet doors did not distract from the overall fine job done by this company.  Errors were quickly fixed at companies expense.  Installer was obviously very experienced and performed his tasks with great attention to detail.  They oversaw the manufacturing and installation of the granite countertop which also went very well.

My experience with them went really well.  Their service was done pretty quickly.  It was actually done on the time they told us.  The people who came was really good.  They helped us design everything that we wanted to.  The quality of all the materials were really good.  I would definitely use them again in the future.

I like his product knowledge. He was very personable and easy to work with. He allowed us to do certain parts of the project to save us money. I had no problems with the people who came to do the job. They did a very detailed work.

Had a good feeling about Mark from the beginning and Carlton his installer did a great job; the pricing was very competitive.  I was very pleased with the out come, the kitchen looks brand new.

The price was very reasonable. I felt that Mark was very attentive. He seemed to know what he was doing. I think he did a very good job. He took his time. He was very patient when we ran into a problem that slowed down the work. He was really good about working around our needs. We referred him to my sister-in-law.

The quote was fair and didn't change except for things that we did. He was very prompt and cleaned up every day. He took extreme care that the rest of the house was sealed off. He is very precise and takes great care in his work. I would highly recommend them to anyone who is looking for cabinet work. If it hadn't been for the modifications that we made, he would have been done just when he said he would. We plan on using Mark again for our bathroom project. The price was better than other quotes and included all of the hardware.
