Dryer Vent Wizard of Oakland County

Greg had come out in November to look at our ducts and discussed with us different options for using semi-rigid duct which we wanted for a new dryer. He came back this month and was able to make the adjustments we needed, and did an excellent job. We would DEFINITELY use this company again!

Would not go into attic to do a complete job

The technician arrived late outside our guaranteed service window. He also worked up an invoice for close to $380 and said the job could be done in 25 minutes. That's over $700 per hour for parts and labor. Lowes was able to do the same install with our new dryer for less than $75.

The work seemed to go quickly (maybe too quickly). I think I have buyers remorse as the service that was performed did not seem worth the price and the company refused to give the 10% discount advertised here on Angies List

Great company! Very knowledgable and professional!

I found Dryer Vent Wizard through an internet search, but I hired them after I checked out their good reviews on Angie's List. My washer and dryer are in the basement, and the dryer vents through a glass block, basement window. The exterior, louvered dryer vent was old and not opening and closing properly. I purchased my own dryer vent cover because it is an odd size and shape. Mark, the installer, was a hard worker, and he arrived for my 9 a.m. appointment early (which I appreciated). He was able to install the new vent cover in addition to a new dryer vent hose that was fire resistant. He was nice enough to secure the dryer vent to the basement wall so that it stayed in position. He arrived on time, did the job, and cleaned up after himself. What more could I ask for? I would use dryer vent wizard again. My only complaint was the the price ($250) was a little higher than I anticipated, especially since I purchased my own dryer vent cover. The company was not currently offering Angie's List discounts. But, the technician worked diligently for over an hour, and it was better than doing it myself. I recommend them!

Everything went fine. The technician was very friendly.

I called the company first thing in the morning after using the dryer the night before and smelling something awful.  They had someone out within three hours.  My hunch that a mouse crawled in through the outside vent opening proved to be right.  The serviceman cleaned the entire vent, repaired the inside connection and removed the dead mouse that had crawled all the way into the dryer.  He then cleaned it up with bleach and the smell was gone immediately.  He even recommended a cage that can be purchased to place over the vent which I have yet to do.

The service went fine. They did exactly what the deal stated. They did a good job and they were great with the clean up afterwards. Scheduling was not an issue.

They were great for us but our neighbors were not happy with them. They reported that they charged them more and did not do a thorough job.

It went really well. The guy who came out was very friendly. He obviously knew what he was doing and he explained to me what he was doing. I cannot crawl through the vent but it seemed to be clear. He was knowledgeable and certainly well worth calling. He did a good job.

Their technician was professional and thorough. The poor guy had to crawl under our deck! I'm amazed how much better our dryer works now.

They were right on time with the visit.  He checked the basement and both of my dryers.  He stated the my ribbed metal tubing to the outside was OK but it could be better.  He then went outside and took a power brush and went down both of the vents/tubes.  A lot of lint came out the tubes/vents.  He then left.  On my first time using the dryer, I notice there was a lot of moisture in the basement.  During the time the brushes were snaked down the tubing from the outside, the tubing was pulled away from outside vent, causing vent to discharge in the house.



I called the company and they immediately corrected the problem.  At that time, I decided to change one dryer to the sheet metal rather that the ribbed metal I had.  That cost was approx. $90.00.  Angies list cost for the first visit on one dryer was around $80.00 and then I added the other dryer for about $110.00. 



The response to the customer needs was excellent.  Both times they came to the house they were very professional.  I may check around next time due to the price.

It was a big deal purchase I made. It was fine, there were no issues.

Provider called and asked to arrive early!  Very neat and efficient and gave me good advice.  Actually complimented me on how clean my dryer vent already was.

Service was fine. The company is now trying to add more fees. There were not any extra activities or add ons. I would not recommend this company.

The company responded within 24 hours and apologized for the confusion. There were no extra fees involved.

The work went very well. They got back to us right away, scheduled us right away, and came out and did the work quickly. We were happy with them. They were very responsive.

It was great and I was thankful I had this company  to perform this service
