When I spoke with Steve James it was obvious that he knew what he was doing in regards to staining decks and other outdoor wood. He gave a clear understandable quote as to what he was going to do and to what regarding the cleaning, sanding and staining. When the time came we were called to first have the deck cleaned and then a few days later called again to have the deck stained. The guys that did the work were meticulous. They were polite and friendly. The only thing they stained was the deck. They did not get any stain on the house, patio below, or the grass. They did not let the stain run between the deck boards as this is a raised deck and it could have easily been seen from below. I researched the stain they used and approved of it. It was a quality stain and should hold up well. Not only was it a quality job, but was also the least expensive of the three quotes that I got before doing the job.
