Busen's Appliance

Our repairman was in and out the dorr in about 10 minutes. I was correct, it was a fuse that required replacement. There was no hemming and hawing. I explained the situation, and he replaced the fuse in minutes. They were on time, communicate fabulously, and are quick and pleasant to deal with. Worth every penny.

What was bad is I had to go to them and they said they did not make service calls. he fixes vacuums, sewing machines and mostly GE and Maytag products. It is a personally owned company. They are not open on the weekends or only open to 5.

Tim from Busen's came in a few weeks ago and diagnosed that I had a bad motor. He was very professional and was done in about 15 minutes. He told me he would have to order the new motor and the cost would be about 180.00.

Paul came in today and was very polite, fast and knowledgeable. I am very please with their work!

I would definitely hire them again!

The technician was very helpful and courteous. All that was needed was that the wires needed to be cleaned. He explained that condensation can cause the wiring to become corroded which can keep the ignitor from working properly. We are very thankful for the helpful people at Busen's Appliance.

Tech was professional and completed repairs promptly. Prices were fair and obtaining parts was timely.

The sales person was the owner and they do a good job. They are honest and a local business- not a big box.

I called on 1/29, they were able to have a repairman come out the next day, 1/30. The gentleman who answered the phone was friendly and polite. He asked a lot of questions, which I appreciated as I knew it would up the chances that the repair person would be able to bring the part with them to the service call. Silly thing to comment on, I know- but it's happened to me in the past where I called for a repair on a very common item and the repair person showed up unprepared.

I was given a time frame of 1-4 pm for his arrival. He arrived at 1:30pm. He was extremely polite and friendly. He wasted no time diagnosing the issue as a faulty ignition. Fortunately, he had the part with him on his truck, so he was able to complete the repair immediately. From start to finish, the entire process took about 30 minutes. I was charged approximately $50 for labor, $50 for a service call, and $75 for the part. I found this to be very reasonable.
One thing that I found to be really cool was that the repairman carried a laptop with him and he was able to email me the invoice/receipt for repair. Since I have been making the effort to move all of my record keeping to a digital format, I really appreciated this.
The only minor 'issue' I had was that even though I greeted the repairman outside (I was outside working in my yard) and he followed me in the house and watched me remove my shoes prior to entering, he did not ask if he should remove or cover his shoes. It was really rainy/muddy out today and I really would have preferred that he remove/cover his shoes. Of course, I could have asked him too...so I won't hold it against them. I would not hesitate to hire Busen again or recommend them to friends.

Performance headlines are outlined above. Busen appliance did not initially meet my expectations but Mr. Busen stepped up and reimbursed us for the damage. Well done.

It was really good, they were prompt and solved our problem and all at a reasonable rate.

They are very good. They are very helpful. They know what they are doing. They know the products. They have prices that are competitive with their competition. They deliver and take away the old appliances. If I had any problems with the appliance, they are willing to back up what they've sold you.

We called Busen's on a Monday to see about having our refrigerator looked at. It was not staying cold and the light inside was staying on. They were out the next day. The repairman thought it was either the switch in the door or the main computer board, which needed to be ordered from the factory. He said it would be 10 days for the part to come in. He called about 5 days later and said he had the switch but was still waiting for the computer board. He asked if it was ok to come over and he would try the switch first. He was over in about 15 minutes. It only took a few minutes to replace the switch and the refrigerator was working! He saved us about $85 by not having to replace that main board. We also had our refrigerator back in less time than was originally thought. He was very thorough and helped us a lot.

WE HAVE A HOME APPLIANCE PLAN THAT COVERED OUR APPLIANCES. WHEN OUR REFRIGERATOR NEEDED WORK THEY SENT OUT BUSEN'S APPLIANCE. THEY WERE VERY UNPROFESSIONAL, AND WHEN WE HAD PROBLEMS WE COULD NOT GET ANY DIRECT ANSWERS FROM THEM.

BUSEN IS A WELL KNOWN COMPANY IN LINCOLN PARK. THEY ARE KNOWN FOR THEIR GREAT BUSINESS. THEY ARE VERY TRUSTWORTHY AND RELIABLE. THEIR QUALITY OF WORK IS ALSO GREAT.
