There was other one that was first on Angie's List and I called them and they were very nice people, but they wanted $275 to grind the stump, so I called and I said, and quot;Well, I have a better offer, I got it done for $100and quot;, and that's the Wright Way Tree company. I like their price and their work. I never had any complaints. Responsiveness is B because I had to call them a couple of times.
We called Wright Way Tree Co for an estimate to clean up damage from the ice storm we had in December. There were three separate items.
1. Clearing up the large limbs that were down.
2. Cutting the large, damaged limbs from the trees overhanging the house and garage.
3. Getting rid of the huge brush pile we had behind the house.
The man came out for the estimate.
He said that to do each job separately would cost about $1400.00 but said they would it all at once for $1000.00.
He went over everything with us so he knew what we wanted and he could make suggestions and ask questions.
We had a lot of limbs down as well as some large damaged limbs overhanging the house and garage. We also had a very large pile of branches and brush we had cleared up around the yard. We wanted that chipped up but wanted to keep the chips for mulch.
We were told they would come out Monday, January 20 for most of the work and would return Tuesday, January 21 to haul everything away.
The crew arrived Monday morning as promised. They had all the heavy equipment needed and got right to work. Some of the limbs they cut out of our trees were one to two feet in diameter and close to the house, garage and power lines. They worked steadily and skillfully. They answered any questions we had. The following morning they came out with a large dump truck and a power shovel, loaded up the big pile of logs they had and took it away.
Because they had hauled away the logs and brush rather than chipping it up on site they gave us about 5 cubic yards of wood chips they had from other jobs.
They did everything they said they would when they said they would for the price they gave us. We are totally satisfied with the job.
They did a fine job with the actual work, although they failed to call to discuss exactly which branch I wanted removed (they got it correct anyway, but I had left instructions for them to call, because it wasn't in the original estimate). The trunk damage was not addressed in any way, although I had not asked for this service, I had expected at least a basic smoothing/filing down (we had discussed that I would seal the wound myself to save money since that's easy), even if it did cost more, they should have included that in the estimate without my having to ask for it separately.
I would use them again for simple jobs like branch removal if the work wasn't super urgent, but I might shop around next time and pay a higher price if I needed more serious work done, like a whole tree removal or a lot of trimming.
