I was in need of a stronger prescription for my eye glasses as well as an eye exam. I called the Wal-Mart optical center and made an appointment. They were very helpful and I was able to schedule an appointment for the next week. On the day of my appointment, I was quickly admitted into the examination room. The optometrist was friendly and made me feel very comfortable. We reviewed my eye care history. Any questions I had were answered and all of my concerns were addressed. After the eye exam, I selected new lenses and frames in the retail section of the optical center. There was a large selection to choose from and some were very reasonably priced. The sales associate assisted me with my selections and recorded my information so that I could be notified when my glasses were ready to be picked up at the optical center. My glasses were ready in about a week.

After buying 2 Magnavox TV converters with my government coupons, I took them home and tried them on both my TV's. They didn't work at all. I was very disappointed. But I thought I would just take them back to Walmart and ask them to order RCA converters for me like the lady I read about on Wal-Mart s website. (They have since stopped selling RCA converters on-line and therefore the lady's review is also gone.) When I called the electronics manager and asked him about an exchange, he said no. I also called the other two Wal-Mart stores in the Lansing area and again was told no, they couldn't do that. I then went to Wal-Mart s website and asked for an exchange. In my email I explained what I bought, that they didn't work, and that none of the Wal-Marts in the Lansing area are willing to help me exchange my converters. I asked for their help. The response I got back was a form letter/email stating that I should contact the electronics manager of the store where I bought them and also check with other stores in my area. The email ended with "We appreciate the opportunity to serve you and look forward to your next visit." I will be returning the Magnavox converters because they don't work and in doing so I will lose two $40 government coupons. Walmart has been good to me and my family up to this point. I'm very disappointed that they aren't willing to help me.
