It went very well.  They showed up on time, inspected and cleaned the chimney and fireplace.  It was clear that they take great pride in what they do.  They reported the condition of the fireplace and chimney and showed us how to use the fireplace, as this was a recently purchased home for us.  We have enjoyed using the fireplace and are confident that it is safe.

He always arrives on time with all necessary equipment. He spreads drop cloths so ashes and debris don't get all over the floor.He works inside and outside to clean and check the fireplace and chimney for safety. He is always very courteous and professional-- he's or regular chimney guy--very important because we have a fire most every day in the winter.

They were prompt, friendly, and extremely professional throughout.  They pointed out
things for me to repair or to keep and eye on in addition to the chimney, and I really
appreciated that.  They were careful in the clean-up and left the area spotless.  All in
all, I couldn't have asked for better service.

Phil showed up on time. He now has an apprentice who was also diligent, polite and professional.They performed the service, gave me their report on how the chimney looked and offered a bit of advice. They cleaned up promptly and properly and left. I will continue to use Tozier's chimney service for future repairs. My only disappointment was that he scheduled it for a number of weeks out until there was a day that I could be home in the am. I would have preferred an evening after work, and sooner but he didn't want to come out to my area in the afternoon, preferring to group area service calls when it was more convenient for him as he is cutting down his working hours.

We heard raccoons scratching in the chimney and called two chimney sweep services to find out about the charges for removing the animals.  This service offered the lower estimate.  We asked Phil to inspect the chimney and install chimney caps so that animals would not get stuck in the chimney in the future.  Phil used his chimney brushes to remove two or more raccoons, and then he inspected the chimney and installed the chimney caps.  However, later that evening we heard the scratching again, and we realized that two baby raccoons were stuck inside the chimney caps.  We called Phil the next day and left a message on his answering machine indicating that not all of the raccoons were removed.  He didn't call back.  We called several more times, still with no response.  Thinking that he might be avoiding us because he would have to make a return trip to remove the raccoons, we tried calling from our cell phone instead of the land line. (The caller ID would not have registered our name with the cell phone.) He immediately answered the phone and agreed to come out and remove the raccoons.  I thanked him and gave him gas money for his trouble.  

He is great. We have him for five or six years. Phil Tozier is the owner. He gives his repeat customers a 10% discount. It is a $127 but that is with a 10% discount, so I think it is a $140 for our chimney. We have a wood burner. I do not know if it does make a difference, whether with the actual fireplace or the wood burner I do not know, there are different charges. He is very honest. He does not try to sell you things or services that you do not need. I like his integrity. He is very prompt. When he says he is going to be here, he is here. He does a very thorough job. In addition, he makes sure that everything is covered inside so that there is no sip getting on to anything. He is very fastidious that way. In terms of price, I would say it is excellent. I would have him come out in the future again.

Tozier's was recommended by local company who sells fireplaces.  I called for appointment and was given a date a few weeks out, which was OK.  They had a cancellation about a week and a half before the scheduled appointment and called to see if they could come out that day.  It worked for our schedule, so they came out to the house.  My wife said the two men who came were friendly and courteous.  One man got on the roof and did cleaning and inspection of chimney, the other man cleaned and inspected the fireplace inside the house.  They showed her the hidden lever which activates the fresh air vent and made sure she understood what it was for.  They left a report and discussed their findings with my wife before leaving.  Overall a good experience, and we'll use them again.

We couldn't have been happier with Tozier's!   They came out and were very professional and friendly.  The fact that Tozier's knew we had just purchased this house and didn't know much about the condition of the chimney would have been the perfect opportunity for someone to take advantage of the situation but they didn't.  He inspected the chimney and said it was in perfect working condition and said it didn't even need to be cleaned... which saved us money!    It's nice to know there are still honest people out there.  We plan on seeing them again next year for our cleaning! 

Performed as expected, no complaints.

We had to pay a total of $499.44.  About half the price was the actual cost of the damper.  The sweep cost us $129.  We found him through word-of-mouth.  He's great.  We don't use our fireplace very often, so we get it swept every two years or so.  He came in and he explained everything.  We have an old house and we told him what we wanted.  We've been using him for a long time for chimney sweep over the years.  He went and ordered the exact part that we needed and came and installed it.  We have a bit of an unusual chimney, but that was not something difficult for him to do.  It was something that he had had experience with.  He always makes sure that the fireplace is blocked, so that we don't have anything come in to our house when he cleans it.  He is just a nice person.  I would recommend him.  I would absolutely use him again.
