Not well. The employee sent by Terminex took a quick glance at the glass jar with dead specimens in it and said we had carpenter ants. Told us we would have to sign a year's contract which we did. That was Dec 2017. They treated outside 4 times and once inside. During and after the treatments we continued to have the winged ants show up on 3 different floors of house. Looking at pictures of specimens on internet we became concerned that we actually had termites. Called Orkin instead. Their agent looked carefully at dead specimens and said they were termites. Unlike Terminex, he inspected carefully inside the house and showed us an active track of termites in wood in basement ceiling. They treated thoroughly around perimeter of outside and around perimeter of a crawl space inside. Cleaned up everything. Have had no further signs of infestation by flights and tracks of workers in wood have had no further activity. Terminex continues to call us to renew treatments, despite explanation of why we don't want their service and their last visit on annual contract was Sept 2018. They misdiagnosed problem, charged us for work we didn't need, and won't leave us alone.

Courteous, polite, set me at ease with my questions before they do any work in your home. They got EVERYTHING taken care of. Dawn was so nice and followed up to make sure they were all gone.

I pay $120 a quarter. We've had some issues. They're very good and they always come out. The issues don't get resolved coming out. They had to come out multiple times.

I don't know what the issue with this company is.  I had an appointment scheduled for Friday, they show up a day early, unannounced.  They walk around my house and treat it with out prior consent.  They ask, my rather surprised wife, if everything is OK.  She says yes, they walk away and slide a bill under the door.
They never came into the house to treat, nor asked to come in.  Communication with this company is horrible. I know I can call them to have someone else come back out, but why can't they just show up as scheduled and do it right the first time?

The initial contact was good. The company representative explained to me that they charge a flat fee for trapping for 7 days. No additional charges for removing any animals that are caught, no refunds if animals are not caught. The two guys who came out to set the traps on the first day were very nice, thorough and answered all my questions. But, one thing that struck me on that first day was that they brought one trap and they did not place it in the backyard by the shed which was our biggest area of concern. They said they would come back the next day and set more, they just didn't have enough skunk traps with them. I thought that was odd considering they knew they were coming to my house to trap skunks. They did return the next day and set a second trap. A few days passed and nothing was caught and then on a Friday morning, I watched the Molemen truck pull up in our driveway (we live in a duplex). The guy got out, went to my neighbor's backyard, then got in his truck and left. So, I called office because I was pretty sure there was something caught in the trap in our backyard. This set off the most ridiculous customer service experience I have ever had in my life. The number provided to me by the local office went to a national call center. The national call center would not give me the direct number to the local office. I explained to them what happened and they said they would contact the office and send somebody back to her house. 2 hours later, no return phone call and no one returned to the house. I called again. This time, I sat on hold for a half an hour waiting to speak to a specialist. I was assured it again the office would be contacted and someone would be sent out. After 4 hours of no return phone call and no one returned to the house, I called again. And again I sat on hold and waited to speak with a specialist. Once again, the Specialist could not reach anyone in the office but assured me the problem would be taken care of. I left for work and my husband came home from work not realizing Terminix never came back, and let the dogs out in the backyard. There was a raccoon in the cage that has been there all day and the dogs went went crazy and cut their faces up trying to get at the raccoon in the cage. Their mouths and and noses were bleeding so bad we had to take them to the emergency vet. In the meantime, I had to leave work (so I could help my husband take our big, bleeding dogs to the vet) and called Terminix again on my way home. This time, I sat on hold for nearly an hour. When someone finally answered it was exactly when we had taken the dogs into the emergency vet. No one ever called back and no one ever came out. The next morning, Saturday, more than 24 hours after my first call, the raccoon was still in the trap in the backyard. I called Terminix again. With the same results that I had become accustomed to by this point. Another half an hour hold, another specialist promising me that the problem would be taken care of. Shortly after that phone call, Terminix man did show up, but he was just making the daily rounds. I stormed into the backyard and unloaded about all that had happened, and he had no idea about any of it. He said the office I've never been contacted and he knew nothing about it. They said the 1-800 number was completely worthless and wanted to know why I didn't call the office direct. I explained to him I was not given a direct number and that the national number wouldn't give it to me. He apologized and gave me the direct number. Then he shut the remaining trap, saying that no one would be out to check them on Sunday. I said to him that we were promised trapping for 7 days. And he said it would be 7 days even if it took longer than the actual 7 consecutive days. So the first day we were short a trap, Friday the trap wasn't checked, Sunday the trap wasn't checked. By Wednesday morning, the traps were gone. They weren't set for 7 days, no skunk was caught, and I never once received any follow up from Terminix, their local manager or the regional manager (all who were supposedly contacted). It's hard to say if this horrible experience was caused by the local office or the national Office but either way, they did a terrible job and and we were out $299 for nothing. I would never, ever, ever recommend their services to anyone.

They are not good at all with getting calls returned . They keep calling and leaving voicemails saying that they are going to come to my home to spray outside and I need them to be inside the house. There corporate office does not care about there employees at all. I am really unhappy with Terminix corporate. They act as if they care less about the customers . They also keep raising my rates.

06/06/2015 - initial appointment with sales person who assessed the situation, determined we had a squirrel in the attic, and proposed a 2-step plan at a cost of $1260. Step 1- set the trap (a one-way cage that would allow escape but not re-entry). Step 2-clean, disinfect the attic and cover all vents with impenetrable material. We paid a deposit of $200.
06/12/2015: The technician came at the appointed time and set the apparatus. He told us he would call and return in one week to finish the job.
That was the last contact. In spite of multiple messages, not one call was returned. At some point in early July, after calling the 800 number, I was connected with one of the managers in the Madison Heights, MI office who admonished me for calling at 7 pm and unloaded his saga of woe before instructing me to call the next morning to make the appointment. I called the next morning only to reach voicemail.
I left about 4 messages, as did my husband, before calling the 800 number. They are experts at run-around...keep referring me back to the Madison Heights office, promising they will follow up, promising calls.. promise after promise - not one of which has been kept!
The invoice keeps coming for the balance of $1069. I keep calling and getting nowhere. I did manage to have the service canceled but that did not resolve the outstanding balance of $1069!
. I promised to let the world know about my experience and that is why I'm here today.  I have managed to thwart at least 6 of my friends who were considering calling Terminix. Apparently others have enjoyed similar experiences with Terminix..

UPDATE 8/28/15: The events over the past two months would boggle your mind... Dozens of phone calls (to them), dozens of broken promises (by them). The local office finally responded to my promise to seek legal recourse...And they did so begrudgingly. We finally had a promise of service for 8/27 between 11 and 1. They were no call, no show...So we left a message with their office that they would have to reschedule. As soon as I was more than 30 miles away from the site, I received a call from a service technician "happy to tell you (me), I'm done early and can be there well before 3, our scheduled time"....

The tech was very nice -unlike any other person from this office - took care of the unfinished business - and had a different "manager" forward an email with a detailed description of what was done.

And then I received an exceptionally rude phone call, from Paul Kelly - an alleged manager - demanding payment. I neglected to mention he afforded us a whopping $250 discount "for all your (our) trouble."... Which left a balance of $819. He was informed the bill would be paid today 8/28/15.

When I signed on line today to pay the bill, the amount due did not reflect the discount. I called the "different manager" thinking I might be treated with more respect - but to my amazement, he was equally as ambivalent, if not as rude..And I was told to call their 800 number.

To my utter amazement, the person at the other end of the line at the 800 number was ...You guessed it... Just short of totally rude...And it took an excessive amount of time  to process my payment.

I own a business that depends on good customer service in order to keep my clients... I could not conceive of treating anyone in the manner Terminix seems to thrive on. I am flabbergasted to say the least and promised I will use every venue available to tell our story.

We finally are rid of the worst kind of vermin on this earth....TERMINIX and its employees from top to bottom!

The initial services preformed by Molemen and Terminix were great - Craig and his team came to our house on time and as scheduled and completed the job in a prompt and professional manner.
The problem started with the ongoing Terminix services.  Once the house was sealed, some of the mice were trapped inside and as it got warmer and the food sources disappeared, they started to get bolder about getting in our living space - even as we were in it. We called Terminix several times to report the activity and asked them to come out, however the food and traps the technician set were ineffective and the activity continued to increase.  We tried calling the technician again a few times per the contract guidelines, but he either made and then broke appointments or was unresponsive all together.
We would hire Molemen again for wildlife control services, but would absolutely NOT sign on for any Terminix pest control services.

They come every six month to spray ants. They spray outside. They have been very effective and they come on their own. The person that came in is very friendly. I have been pleased with their service.
