Precision Roofing Services did an excellent job for us. They were very detailed in the inspection part of the estimate. Asked a lot of questions and that really showed how much they cared. They wrote up a very detailed proposal to replace our roof and add insulation to our attic. It was a big investment and after reviewing the proposal we needed time to think it over. They were ok with this and really made us feel at ease with telling them we couldn't make a decision right on the spot. When we were ready to get started they showed up on time when they said they would. The crew was very polite and professional. They did and cleaned up very well everyday. This was very important to me as I'm particular about my lawn and so are my neighbors. The job was done in 2 days (I have a large home) We have seen other roofs in our neighborhood get replaced and the yards are a mess, the radios are loud and the jobs drag on for what seems forever. WE EXPERIENCED NONE OF THAT. Great Experience!! They were not the cheapest by any means. But it was well worth the money!!! Because of them I made a good investment in my home that will last for many years to come. And I have a guarantee in writing that is backed by them and the manufacturer.

UPDATE: 01/27/15 We have not received any contact from the manufacturer or any representative of the manufacturer concerning the dangerous and illegal windows installed by Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC via telephone, text, email or the USPS.You had plenty of opportunity to express concerns about the dust during the project and after when we returned to complete other projects for you. You returned one hour prior to our cancelling the SINGLE PROJECT OF SEALING AN EXTERIOR DOOR. We regret we were unable to stop another failure to perform in a workman like manner. You sealed the door along the right side of our fireplace. The first heavy rain of Spring 2013 caused severe leaking in our fireplace. It gave the impression of a waterfall the leaking was so great. The front right of the fireplace alongside the door opening that was contracted to be sealed per the final invoice. Throughout 2013 and 2014 we?ve placed buckets, pots, and pans to catch the water that came through from outside in through the fireplace which is right next to the door you sealed, you neglected to use flashing. The siding you replaced on the outside is also out of level. The estimates to demolish and reseal the door opening have been over $500.00 . I offered several times to come back and Re cleans the basement. You have declined my offer every time.Allowing Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC additional opportunity to damage to our home is absurd, irrational and It lacks reason. It is ill advised to have any contractor that has already caused over $10,000.00 dollars of significant damage to your primary/only residence to have him return to your home and to continue ANY project.Even after the insurance company paid you to have the dust removed and your home cleaned you still did not have it done. For the record ?Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC ?s insurer Auto Owner?s / Jason Sullivan denied the claim and has refused to pay anything. Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC, is not insured for the damages in our home and is deemed completely at fault by their insurer Auto Owners/Jason Sullivan. Our home owner?s Insurance policy through State Farm issued payment to restore the structure only. They did not issue payment to restore ANY of the contents. Our insurer State Farm has informed us, when we are able to move the entire contents of our home, secure storage for the contents, plus housing during the remediation. State Farm will provide funds to complete the restoration. Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC, nor Auto Owners /Jason Sullivan have not offered any assistance in restoration. The fees incurred to pack, move, and store our home contents. The restoration, disposal and removal must be completed for the primary residence for a family of five. This alone could exceed $4000.00. We would be unable to occupy our home until the restoration was completed. This would require lodging. We need an additional $1000.00 deductible that Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC, Auto Owners Insurance policy denied reimbursement to our home owners policy holder with State Farm. It would seem that you pocketed the insurance money Neither Jeff Nunham nor Auto Owners /Jason Sullivan , Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC insurer has explained why Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC IS NOT INSURED for this damage caused by Precision LLC. Jason Sullivan of Auto Owners denied our claim though he found Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC entirely responsible for the damage. Auto Owners also denied reimbursement to our homeowners insurance State Farm which would have covered the $1000.000 deductible for damage caused by the saw cutting which caused the silica dust by Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC insurer did not cover. Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC made no offer to pay either.along with the money that you withheld from us for the work we did. The windows installation do not ?egress? which contradicts the Agreement. The door sealing has caused leaking into our fireplace, the opening is not sealed correctly, no flashing, and the siding is out of level. This job also contradicts the Agreement. You did not complete the work requested. You damaged our home. The dirt that was left behind is the dirt that you wanted us to leave you so that you could do some other projects in your yard. We even gave you a credit for this. We had no idea the amount of dirt that would need to be disposed of. Nor the total amount of credit of $75.00 issued. A paltry 25.00 per window?Actual cost to dispose of the dirt us was double that amount. I?m fairly certain you could have given a greater credit amount, specifically due to the $300.000 over charge for the window wells that were not used to complete our project. I'm more than willing to work with you on resolving these matters. I hope this finds you and your family well. It was good to hear from you. Thanks , Precision Enterprises LLC, DBA Precision RoofingFinally, Jeff Nunham/ Precision Enterprises, LLC, We owe absolutely you your company and affiliates nothing. The fact that you would even attempt to charge us as you have is preposterous. Angie?s list customer BEWARE of Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC .Rethink hiring a contractor with this mindset: Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC, believes he is a casualty??? He was duped and cheated. ?Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC causing damages plus reconstruction to correct the chaos totaling over $18,000.00???? We?ve been victimized by Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC. We?ve been maligned in a public forum. Your lack of honesty: You lied about the building inspector approving the windows. We have the report. Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC should have the copy as well. You lack Integrity, you reworked restated the invoice and did not issue a credit for materials not used. You charged us for materials you did not use!!!!! We have copies of both invoices. Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC restated, reworked, and rephrased the final invoice. By removing the itemization from the initial invoice for 9 window wells at $150.00 each. Total: $1350.00 The two windows that do not meet egress per our contract are windows needed two window wells not three . The Total should have $300.00 credited at 150.00 per window for the windows installation that do not ?egress. $1350.00 on the final invoice was rephrased, rewritten reworked to read: Window wells- $1350.00 . It is obvious this was not oversight in the final invoice. This invoices included several cans of Great Stuff void filler. When we questioned the accounting of Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC , his response was ?I?m not going to itemize every single nail or screw.? Untrue, attention to detail, and great care was taken in adding other materials used.It would seem that you pocketed the insurance money. This statement reads as if your insurer issued payment for a claim. This is exceptionally out of context with the intent to mislead the reader. You have misrepresented the truth and demeaned our character in one comment. FACT: Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC is not insured to complete the work in our home per your adjuster Jason Sullivan at Auto Owners Insurance. , The adjuster Jason Sullivan at Auto Owners Insurance judged Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC responsible for all damages. This damage is to our home, its contents, and the disposal/removal of several of our furnishings and personal items. FACT : The total of the job contracted to you for three egress windows and to seal a door opening. The said windows installation do not ?egress? which contradicts our Agreement. The incorrect sealing of the door has caused leaking through the front of our fireplace , next to the door that was incorrectly sealed by Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC also contradicts our agreement. The door nor the fireplace did not leak in the 18 years we?ve lived in the home prior to the work by Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC in our home. Flashing was not was used and the siding was installed out of level causing leaking of water in the fireplace when we it rains. We are willing and able to provide pictures of the job in progress the common business and safety practices not used by Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC estimates of corrective work, copies of the invoices, the first and the restated, reworked, rephrased , Final Invoice. Copies of all the statements made are available made in this review. We are yet working to restore our home. We did not budget an additional $15,000.00 for contactor damages and reconstruction. Removing and replacing flooring, draperies and carpeting. Two years later, we are unable to occupy our basement area. We don?t have funding to initiate a corrective project with another contractor. I ask Angie?s List to please consider revisiting your rating system. People look to Angie?s List placing their confidence in a rating system that is skewed. Apples to Apples. Giving estimates should not be included with ratings for work completed. Period. If there?s no actual work completed, leave that review out of the calculation. It will cause an untruthful, deceptive and misleading rating. No other customer /client should suffer these damages by Jeff Nunham Precision Enterprises, LLC .
Description of Work: Precision LLC was hired to create three egress windows in our basement to create safe additional living space. We also contracted closing a door opening on the first floor. The work began 01/21/2013. During the saw cutting of the poured concrete wall on, the silica cement dust filled our home on three levels. |The basement level being the very hardest hit. Precision did not use any barrier system to prevent the dust from coming into our home. According to the contract they would. Two of the three windows the building inspector has deemed not code, unusable for safe escape. They must be replaced. Precision did not use a barrier/encasement to keep the cutting debris and dust from our home. Dust covered every horizontal and vertical surface of our home. The interior dwelling, all duct work and all contents. |Or family cleaned dust the first two days of construction, the third day of construction we taped and sealed the rooms. We also covered the contents of each room on the first and second level. At this point it was futile to do so in the basement level. Precision did not direct in this manner, they seemed unconcerned with the level of dust that covered our home. This was an effort to avoid the cement dust storm we'd faced the two days prior. It was not completely successful. Cement silica dust is not easily removed. Our homeowners insurance covered the cost clean the cement silica dust that covered every surface of the DWELLING alone. It did not cover the CONTENTS of the dwelling that cement silica dust covered and left unusable. | Our homeowners insurance advised us it was the responsibility of Precision LLC's insurance to cover the damage to the contents. Auto Owners declined to cover the damage done by their insured Precision LLC. The agent that inspected the damage determined Precision was in error, at fault and responsible for the clean-up. Precision offered to clean the basement. We were directed to have our air ducts floors walls and each and every item in our home cleaned professionally. This is not in the scope of work that Precision LLC does. Silica dust damage is equal to soot or smoke damage. Labor and materials were estimated at more than $15,000.00 based on the size of the dwelling and its contents. We're required to pay a $1000.00 deductible for the damage done by Precision LLC to remove the cement silica dust from the dwelling. We're required to remove the entire contents of our home, and rent a storage container/unit until the cleaning process is complete as not to cross contaminate within the dwelling. We are unable to live in our home during the restoration process. The contract stated they would use a barrier system to keep dust from entering our dwelling. There was no barrier system on any kind on the three window openings that were saw cut. Saw cutting poured concrete generates a considerable amount of cement silica dust. Precision LLC caused a gas leak emergency due to one of Precision's crew members breaking/cutting the gas line to our home during the egress window construction. We evacuated the home immediately with three minor children present. Precision added additional charges to the final invoice for a header and cans great stuff space filler plus labor, approximately 100.00. Precision did not remove the charges for unused materials approximately $300.00. We were charged for items not used in our remodel on the final invoice. |The door opening that was closed by Precision LLC has caused a leak in our walls that flows inside and on the outside of our fireplace, hearth and flooring every time we have heavy rains. We've contacted several contractors. The consensus has been to correct the error the enclosure must be demolished and completely redone. The water issue may be due to the aluminum siding that was not reinstalled properly after the door was enclosed. We've kept a container in the fireplace in case of rain. |We've been in contact with Jeff Nunham of Precision LLC. He has offered to replace the windows (this would be the third set of windows installed, the first set was incorrect). We have declined this offer. He has offered to return and clean our basement, Precision LLC is not qualified to repair cement silica dust damage. We have declined this offer as well. Jeff Nunham has not addressed the door enclosure. We have a 16,000.00 cleaning/restoration cost for work that was incomplete, incorrect, and the most disturbing has left our home unsafe. We are unable to complete the remodel/renovation to our basement. We are yet cleaning cement dust from the contents of our basement. We've removed and discarded several items because the level of cement dust has rendered them unusable. Precision LLC's insurance nor has Jeff Nunham covered any of our loss. We were issued a claim minus the $1000.00 deductible from our homeowners insurance. We checked the contractor for insurance and license. How would we know the contractor would not be covered for damage caused to our property? What is the purpose of the insurance? Precision LLC is absolutely liable for the damage caused and absolutely responsible for installing windows that were not egressed code which we contracted for. Adding insult to injury, Precision has not informed us the windows were not egressed. The building inspector told us. Precision informed us only of the balance due on reworked invoice. They placed our entire family's safety, health and welfare in jeopardy. The final invoice was reworked to hide the quantities used and not used. We were billed as though they had been used. We will not allow Precision LLC to complete or correct any work in our home again. We found them to be less than competent, less than ethical and less than honest. At this time, we will add a rider to our home owner's policy to cover contractor error, incompetence, or any issues that appear after job is completed. We will hire a contractor vetted by Angie's List without any negative or unresolved issues. Precision LLC dba Precision Roofing will not complete this job or any other at our home. This is ironic because we are looking to hire a roofing contractor. |This experience has been draining for our entire family. On so many levels our lives have been on hold. Unable to move forward, we don't have the additional costs to remove the silica cement dust damage caused by Precision. We would like to resolve this matter and have our home back. We would like to rectify this situation with Precision LLC. We hope that Angie's List will be able to help in this matter. We have photos of the job during and after construction. We can provide copies of all correspondence to and from Precision LLLC and the Auto Owners Insurance. We did not want to give and adverse review. We would like to resolve the matter. We have notified Jeff Nunham that we were asked to make provide review. We received no response. Angie's List if you are able to resolve this, we will be most grateful. | | | UPDATE: 01/27/15 The following is my response to Jeff Nunham /Precision LLC My response follows the highlighted statements made by Jeff Nunham /Precision LLCHi BELITA MOORE, This is copy of the our response to the customer via Angies List messenger system. We did install 3 egress windows, had them inspected and they passed. The Building Inspection has been done. We have a copy of the report. The windows installation do not “egress” which contradicts the Agreement. We now have issues of breach of contract, misrepresentation, and failure to perform in a workmanlike manner. There are many roads to resolving these issues to include the State of Michigan Regulatory bureau.I was not aware that the 2 we changed out were not egress. If I was willing to change 2 windows out because they didn't open in what I believed was the best direction for you wouldn't I be equally concerned about them being egress had I known... A competent and experienced contractor should be aware of the product he is installing Even by the slightest stretch of the imagination this account was true, Precision LLC/ Jeff Nunham as a competent, even inexperienced contractor should make every effort prior to installing the windows. Inspecting checking to assure they were installing the correct windows. These windows are a safety exit. They should provide the safety the family was seeking for their home. Precision Enterprises is entirely responsible for the ordering and installation of the windows. . This is in no way the responsibility of window manufacturer in the first or second time the windows were ordered. I have spoken with the manufacturer and they are willing to correct their mistake. The mistake was not that of the manufacturers when the first set of windows were ordered. Two of the three windows installed by Jeff Nunham /Precision LLC were those listed on the FIRST/ INITIAL invoice from Jeff Nunham. Jeff Nunham /Precision LLC received exactly the windows ordered. Jeff Nunham, /Precision LLC ordered the wrong windows. The manufacturer fulfilled the order correctly. I have a copy of the invoice. There is no cause for us or anyone to believe ANY MANUFACTUERER WOULD SEND THE WRONG WINDOWS TWICE. I will need access to the windows to do this and you have declined access to both myself It lacks reason to continue doing business with Jeff Nunham/Precision LLC or allow ANY KIND OF WORK IN OR NEAR/AROUND OUR HOME. We are reasonably fearful, and unwilling to allow Precision LLC , Jeff Nunham or their affiliates to estimate a project to complete any form of construction in our home.and the manufacturer's representative.

Once we called they scheduled an appointment to come out very quickly. They were very professional in the way they took the time to discuss the problems we were having. They really made me feel like my problem was their problem and that they cared. After an extensive investigation into my problem they wrote up an estimate and told us when they could start should we choose to hire them. When we did call to schedule the work they fit it into there schedule within a couple days. When the crew arrived they were very polite, worked diligently and professionally. They did a wonderful job and an even better job cleaning up all the debris from the project. I couldn't even tell they had been to my house. I am very pleased with the level of service they provided. I would highly recommend them to anyone. To top it all off they gave me a 100% no leak guarantee on the work they did.
Description of Work: They did a major roof repair to fix a seriouse leak that was destroying our home. This has been a very difficult leak to find and repair. We called a lot of roofing companies but no one could seem to find the source or offer a reasonable solution. Precision Roofing Services changed all that for us. They did an excellent job of locating the leak and do the repairs. We have an older home with older shingles. They did such a great job blending it all together that you can't even tell where they did the work. Money well spent!
