PIONEER STATE MUTUAL INSURANCE

I had an accident on a Friday night. The after hours call in service was a complete waste of time. The ONLY thing they could do was take the information and have it ready for review Monday morning which I could have done myself on Monday morning. They could give no information about my policy and could not authorize a repair or rental car. Because there was no after hours service I had to rent my own car. The insurance company picked up the tab later. However this was still an inconvenience. The insurance company uses a 3rd party company to collect a copy of the police report. Since the body shop was awesome my car was ready for pick up however the insurance company was refusing to cover the deductible without having a copy of the police report showing I was not at fault which the 3rd party company had not provided yet. I had to make several phone calls and leave work early to get the report. The police department was more caring & helpful than the claims representative. Oh & I was advised to get the report in as quickly as possible because it was Thursday afternoon and the insurance offices closes at noon on Fridays.
