There was a delay of about two weeks after signing the work contract and making the first payment (50% of total) before the work was scheduled. After that, everything was punctual and completed on time. The work was done well, completed in two days by a three man crew (Rumaldo and his two sons). Ted oversaw the work and was responsive to suggestions. He even brought a chainsaw and cut up and moved some large branches that had fallen in the yard, something he was not required to do by the contract.

The work began on the agreed day. Rumaldo and the crew are incredibly hard workers, conscientious and thorough, and good-natured as well. Rumaldo obviously knows this business very well. During the whole process, I asked Tim several times about instructions for caring for all these new plants. He said he'd leave me with a big stack of instructions. He must have been joking: On the last day, he gave me a single sheet with instructions for watering trees, shrubs, and perennials, with a suggestion that Ross Root Feeder would be helpful. For the next few weeks, I spent between two and three hours outdoors every day watering; then Tim told me about drip irrigation. My sprinkler man was quite unhappy that he hadn't been called before the job was finished. He compared it to drywalling a new house and then putting in the wiring and plumbing. But the new drip system works nicely and frees me to deal with the grass and weeds which are still comin' thru the mulch.
