The alterations were great. It did not take long for the work to be done. The only thing was she was very surprised I wanted to try it on before paying for it. But it fit perfectly and the work was done well.

In a word, horrible. I brought three pairs of pants in, and I specifically stated we needed them within 8 days because we were going out of town. I was assured by the young man (son?) they would be done in 6, no problem. I called 6 days later to check before driving over there, and was told by the woman they would not be ready for another and quot;week or twoand quot;. I stated they had agreed on 6 days, and I needed these items before I left town. The woman then said they would be ready by the end of that day.
I went to pick them up at the end of the day, and the woman told me there would be an extra charge because of my last minute and quot;rushand quot; order. She then tried to charge me $90.00 for three pairs of pants! I told her there was no way in h*** I was paying that much (3x the agreed upon price!). I ended up paying about $45, and left before I let my tongue loose and told her shop full of customers what I thought of her lousy business practices. I will never, ever let this woman rip me off again.

They did a nice job on working with measurements I provided for them.

My winter coat zipper was off-the-track and I thought I needed it to be replaced. Nu said she would try to put it back on-the track while I waited. It was just 10 minutes wait and she had it fixed! It was only $8. While I was waiting she had a steady stream of customers picking up and dropping off items. It appears she is a miracle-worker. She told me she could make clothing items with no pattern! Everyone who came it was friendly and satisfied. I will definitely recommend her to my friends!

They did a great job on the sleeves and adjusted the buttons to the right location. I'm not so sure how I feel about the patches, but that was a dicey operation to begin with. Everything was done when they said it would be. The cost seemed a little high, but I haven't this kind of service done for awhile, so I may be mistaken. I would definitely go back to Nu.

I took a winter coat in because the gussets on the sleeves were frayed. I expected them to sew above the frayed part and trim it off. Instead, they put new gussets. This coat will last me another 10 years now. I would most certainly recommend them and use them again.
