They provided us a price over the phone per sqft. They came out to look at the floors and gave us a written estimate, which was the same as what we had discussed on the phone. I called them back to schedule the work, they provided me with a date that following week. They showed up on-time, did the work they were supposed to, and it turned out great. I would highly recommend Mr. Natural for your wood floor refinishing job.

I found its name on Angie's list with good reputation. So I tried to reach Mr. Natural to make an appointment for the estimation of floor sanding and finishing. I have contacted the company many times but no one returned my phone calls/emails. I understand it is a busy season for the contractors. But no response is not professional way to customers. No matter how good Mr. Natural is, he owes me a response! Tina

We had a great experience with Mr. Natural and would highly recommend him. Our floors look absolutely amazing--the color is perfect and he was able to repair some damaged boards so you'd never know there was a problem. Mr. Natural is very personable, professional, and his work is top notch.

The majority of the floors in the 1952 home we just purchased are hardwood and desperately needed refinished. Not being familiar with the area I took a chance and called Matt, Mr. Natural, after reading the Angies List reviews. I am thrilled with his work! I have had wood floors refinished by three other contractors and Matt is by far the best. Not only are the floors BEAUTIFULLY finished, Matt and his crew cleaned up any excess dust and did not damage the baseboards. I would definitely call Matt again.

I can't say enough nice things about Matt and his crew from Mr. Natural!!! After having our floors RUINED by another company and a leak in our roof causing more damage, Matt was a lifesaver! Very personable, friendly and hard working. My floors look AMAZING and everyone has commented on how nice they look. Very little mess and the price was worth every penny! They did a great job. He was really friendly, very experienced and punctual. He even gave us a little discount because my husband is in the military, which I thought was very nice. I would use them again in the future if I needed to.

This was a great experience. The owner came out and measured the floors and gave me an estimate before he left. There was no pressure to use his services - just call him back if we wanted to use his services. I called back and he and his crew were able to complete the work the next day. Very accomodating and very thorough. The owner was wonderful and the quality of workmanship was great. Very little dust - light dusting of the baseboards was all that was needed.

It was great! He was very professional and finished the floors within a few days. The floor looked amazing, and there was no mess! It was also very affordable. Mr Natural was friendly and enjoyable to work with!

The work was beautiful and the floor was great. He was super nice and we called before we moved everything in. We had to deal with them for the furniture and it's been really nice. They were super great, he's super friendly. He has his actions for refinishing but I'm not comfortable with the price but I felt reasonable with it.

A friend had referred Mr. Natural to me. Matt was prompt, efficient and professional. We wanted to have the floors redone when we were going to be out of the house for a week, so there were 2 meetings and several phone calls before the work was done, to ensure we had covered all the details. He kept me informed of their progress and finished the job with several days to spare. The floors are beautiful. They did a great job. I've been "living" with the floors now for a couple of weeks and have yet to find a flaw or finish error anywhere. I have followed his cleaning instructions which were easy and yielded great results. I would definitely use them again and would recommend them to others.

Service was exceptional. We had just purchased the house and wouldn't be moving furniture in for a few weeks. Mr. Natural went out of his way to fit us in. He did a lovely job too. I would and have recommended him.

I've waited several months to submit this review to ensure that my flooring installation has held up, which it has. Matt (Mr. Natural) was very quick to come out and provide an accurate estimate of the cost and time needed for installation of my bamboo flooring. He provided advice on what flooring would work best in my situation, and one of my two small critiques of him is that when we talked about the product needed, his familiarity with flooring lead him to use terms I wasn't familiar with, and thus it took a couple trips to Menards to make sure I had the same product he was talking about. It all worked out fine in the end, and I'm not an impulse buyer, so I would have been likely to make a couple trips anyways. Matt and his other crew member showed up on time, and were ready to work right away. My other small critique of him is that we didn't do a written specification, so there were a couple of items he wasn't sure whether he was supposed to do or not. We walked through everything before he started, so it all worked out fine, but my advice is to have him write down "the job" ahead of time. I was leaving for China the day he started, so there wasn't going to be an opportunity to talk about questions he might have, so we had to have it all confirmed ahead of time. In other situations, I'm sure he'd call or talk with you at the end of the day to confirm details as needed. The installation looks great - all the fit and trim is exactly as it should be. More importantly to me, the installation is holding up well under pretty tough conditions. I live on a lake, and the humidity in the house bounces all over the place. Also, I let the temperature cycle deeply in the winter, letting it go into the 50s while I'm at work in the day, and up to 70 when I'm home. This also pushes the humidity way down in the winter. The floor has stayed rock steady through all the temperature and humidity swings. The price of the product (which Matt picked up for me) and the installation was very good. I suspect there are folks that would do it cheaper, but I felt I received excellent value for my dollar. Bottom line is that if I have additional flooring work to do, I'll go back to Mr. Natural.

Both times we used Mr. Natural, we were incredibly pleased with the quality of the work. They did a great job installing new wood floors and we couldn't believe how nice our old wood floors looked after they were refinished. Matt is such a nice, friendly guy - it's a pleasure to do business with him. We found the price charged for both jobs to be very reasonable. They were a bit more responsive when we contacted them in 2010, but I think that's only because it was obvious we caught them at a very busy time in 2013. Even though they were incredibly busy, the work was scheduled quickly both times. Very satisfied. We would definitely use Mr. Natural again!

I was very satisfied with the entire process. It had to be done in two stages, since we had to move furniture around. They did the living room, dining room, and stairs first. Then 10 days later, after the floors in the first part had cured, they did the bedrooms (including closets) and hallway. They did a very good of cleaning up. They were always on time, always cheerful, and easy to work with. I recommend Mr. Natural to anyone who wants to have beautiful floors.

The floors turned out much better than I had expected and I'm happy whenever I look at my softly glowing floors. It has been over two years and the floors look fabulous. I was reminded to write this review when the contractor who is remodeling my bathroom (an experienced home builder) commented on the beauty of the floors. This was work I had been dreading because of moving out furniture and all of the concomitant disruption and potential mess, but the entire process was much less aggravating than I feared and resulted in very little mess from dust or damage. As Matt had warned, some touch-up painting of the floor trim was necessary. Matt made the whole process easier because of excellent communication and polite and considerate behavior. He described exactly what would be done and the timetable. From the time of the estimate and onward, he arrived when he said he would and did the work as promised. There was one glitch. On what should have been the last day of the job, after Matt and his assistant had gone home, I discovered that the coating all along the floor in the front of the fireplace had puddled and dried in lumps.The problem resulted from an almost imperceptible slope of the floor. I'm very embarrassed to say that I sent a mean email and I was a bit hysterical, based on previous very bad experience with other contractors. Matt returned the next day and spent several hours doing the necessary repair.

Matt was very responsive in getting back to me from my initial call to set up a visit to get a quote. He got the quote back to me quickly, and I felt it was very reasonable. I checked other local providers, and they were in a similar cost range. One minor glitch we had was in confirming the exact product number from Menards for the flooring to be installed. Part of this was that Matt gave me the specifications, but they didn't match Menard's products exactly. Also, part of the problem was with Menards because they had a different product in the sample area than their stock. Prior to installation, Matt and I were in communication, and I felt he was effective. I would note that he is good at hearing what you want, but you also need to be specific about what you want (i.e., he won't necessarily ask every question possible that is pertinent to the job, so you need to think about your needs and express them). The day of the job, Matt and his assistant were on time and ready to work, and we talked more to insure that he understood what I wanted. I was traveling out of the country that day, so basically I left during the process of the work, and when I returned, everything was installed well, and the house was clean. It's now a couple months after the job, and everything is holding up well (I say this because I hate reviews of products where people say it and quot;looks good out the boxand quot;, but they haven't actually used it). I've and quot;usedand quot; the floor, and it has been subjected to very cold and dry conditions, and held up well. I can't yet comment on how it will perform in hot humid conditions. All in all I am extremely happy with the whole experience!

OUTSTANDING! I could not be happier with how the floors turned out as well as the professionalism of Matt and Steve. The floors look brand new and they exceed my expectations. Matt is an incredible professional (my only complaint is that he only does floors, as I wish I could hire him for a myriad of other projects!). We had to delay closing by a couple of weeks and he was very accommodating with rescheduling. From the estimate to the end, he and his workers were punctual and very professional. The price was also on the lower end of what we were expecting to pay. I would strongly recommend him for anyone looking to refinish hardwood floors.

I sought bids from three different flooring companies and Mr. Natural was the lowest bidder. I checked his references and all were positive. Matt and his assistant completed the project within 3 days. Both were professional, courteous and a very hard worker. The floor was installed over a three-day period when our weather was in the 90's! At the end of each day, Matt cleaned up the work area and did not leave any construction mess in the house. There was little or no dust during the installation! He also pulled up the old carpeting and disposed of it. The oak floor is beautiful. He also had to match it to existing wood floor in the hallway. Be advised that he doesn't move furniture from the room where the flooring will be installed. I completely understand his policy because he needs to protect his back as flooring is his livelihood. Therefore, plan ahead on how you will move furniture from the room before he arrives to install the wood flooring. Mr. Natural did an excellent job. I would use him again for wood flooring work.

Matt, the owner of Mr. Natural, was the primary reason that I selected his service over a provider who gave a lower estimate. He is very responsive, punctual (even in his arriving to give an estimate) and was reassuring and helpful -even to the point of moving the last piece of furniture for me. He delivered his tools early to beat a blizzard and arrived early the next morning through the blizzard itself. He called me after the sanding and first two coats of finish. Then he called again to tell me that the last two coats were applied. He reinforced what I could do with the floors at the end of 7 days so that I didn't do anything too soon. He is very customer-focused and charming as well.
