Next delivery can't be scheduled until June 27.
I'm diagnosed with cancer and need surgery on the 27th, so install is reset for July 19th. Great - get this done. July 19th rolls around, they can't install floor because no one bothered to contact me to get the underlayment delivered a day ahead of time. So next install is set for August 2.
August 2nd they show up, around 9:30 and have to go pick up the stuff from warehouse. ?????  What the heck?  Why did they come to my house without getting the supplies to begin with?  Install is completed.  Cases of materials ordered in excess. Installers said they would return to warehouse and I would receive refund.   Days later, no refund, week later, no refund.  TWO WEEKS LATER, no refund.  So I call, and no one in warehouse knows anything about product returned.  I wait days for installers to contact the office, store, etc., and finally get someone to admit they had the product, and they would issue me a refund.  Refund received.

First of October I see a spot that finish is missing from floor.  Also, the molding/trim underneath dishwasher is showing a large gap between where flooring was cut and the molding.  Call store and leave inforamtion - someone to contact me.  No one calls.  I wait a week and call again.  I'm told they're awfully busy on Monday's.  Hmmmm, I called the week before, which wouldn't been a busy Monday.  So 2 store employees come to see floor and tell me they don't think it's a product defect.  Well, I live alone, and I haven't dropped anything.  So how does a piece of flooring just rub off?    They said they'll contact company, but don't think it'll be covered by product warranty.

Then I'm also told when I left original message that installers will call to fix the trim problem.  Still another week goes by, and I have to call again.  I finally get call from installer and arrange for him to come on November 11 when I'll be home all day for a furnace install.  No show, no call, nada.  Story is getting really old.

UPDATE:  I call on 12th and installer calls me back, apologized several times and said he was really busy due to another employee being out for a couple weeks.  He came out within the hour and fixed the trim problem.

I would still NEVER use Lowe's for anything service related again.   Employees are all very pleasant, but somewhere the buck gets dropped.  I work full time and simply don't have the time or patience to deal with the situation for months on end.
I expect to contract a service, have it performed and be done with it.

I had to go to Lowe's to pay up front the full amount, I also had a roof down around the same time by Home Depot and they came out and only charged me partial to cover materials, with the balance due on completion. Lowes acted like they didn't know what to do when I came in. I waited for a very long time for them to find someone who knew what to do and how to write up the order.  The woman who wrote up the order didn't know what she was doing and kept messing it up and trying first to over charge me and then to under charge me.
They never explained that the contractor that was doing the work would be my contact once the check cleared. Mandy was irritating because he was trying so hard to be a salesman intead of just coming out and doing the work. He kept hiring guys that didn't show up for work and he was left doing the work of two people several days by himself.  He often came without the right equipment and that caused delays. The material delivery man was the only competent person I dealt with. The order was complete, he was fast, efficient and courteous.  Lowe's called me on the day they had scheduled that the work be completed ( it wasn't even half done then). The woman  that called was all cheery, 'How was the project?' I lost it and cussed her out big time, I'd called them twice to complain that he wasn't working on schedule. He rushed to finish the job apologizing but it looks rushed. I won't use them again which is sad.
Northwest cabinet Co. does the cabinet install for lowes and i HIGHLY recommend requesting (Lloyd) them if you get an install. Unfortunatly the cabinet co. doesnt' get paid until the job is done and since lowes screwed up the orders so bad, they are STILL waiting to get paid as well. They were fast, professional and did fabulous work. i cant say enough wonderful things about them. same with the granite company but i understand lowes has dropped them now. the tile flooring was ok. did nice work but not the best and they won't help you design it. i wont use them again for tiling. i have contracted a different company to finish the backsplash.
Overall, once my kitchen is completed, it will be fabulous!! but all to Northwest and not necessarily lowes. kerron did a great job designing but that was about all, she just could seem to handle the issues when they arose and really needs more training by lowes in that area. Lloyd said that my situation was really unusual so i hope that if you go with lowes that your experience will be better. Oh yeah, i bought an under the kitchen sink osmosis system from lowes because she told me they could install it. turns out the wasn't exactly true. i had to contract out a plumbing company separately to come and install it so i feel i was mislead there.GOOD LUCK! and work with Kathy in Kitchens if you do. She has been the saving grace in all the issues no seemed to be able to figure out
