My family goes way back with using Bohnet Electric.  On numerous occasions I have taken broken lamps to them and had good success with them.   They have a store where they sell beautiful lamps of all kinds and they are specialists in repairing lamps.  Today I have two problems that require an electrician to come out to the house.  When I renewed my membership with Angie's List this morning, I then received a list of recommended electricians in my area.  Bohnet Electric is on that list.  I had not previously known Bohnet would come out to the house and do electrical repairs.  I was over the moon to find the name of this company that I know and trust.  They are coming out this week to begin taking care of my current problems here in my apartment and I am relieved to know it's dependable, skilled, honest people on the way.  Thank you Angie's List and please publish my recommendation!   Please note your grid below only allows me to click on either work done in my home OR work done at provider's location.  I have had work done at provider's location and this week they are coming out to do work in my apartment, so the correct answer is - both.

Well, at first I was convinced it was the circuit breaker. Its an old pushmatic. They came out replaced it and it worked for a few hours. Then he replaced it again, as the first one was used and then load tested it, worked fine.  Blew again next day, Wouldn?t reset at all.
I was kinda frustrated so had a friend come over who said: it wasn?t  the  breaker now because it wouldn?t reset it all.  Mr Bohnet had told me this was a possibility right off the bat
Today, Mr Bohnet and assistant  came out and spent quite a bit of time tracking the short down. It was from an attic fan that had been taken out and hte switch for it was left live.  He said its best when the short isn?t intermittent to tell whats going on. Its all fine now. My out of town family has arrived and we have power in their bedrooms!
BEST PART? When I got my check book out, he said, ?Merry Christmas? no charge.

my lamp was a hurricane lamp that my grandfather had converted to electric from oil. The guys at Bohnet had to do some "creative" work to get it wired to operate 3-way and without worry.  They were about as tickled with the lamp' old wiring system as I am pleased with the new. not that I think they overcharged---i'm just a penny-pincher. (kinda hurts to spend on things I COULD go without sometimes)

They were very professional and prompt.

It went very well.  The Bohnet service people were very professional.  They removed the old chandelier and installed the new one without a hitch.
We were most impressed about the service on our bathroom exhaust fan.  It was quite noisy and, rather than quickly selling us a new costly fan, they analyzed the situation and cleaned the fan blades and housing.  The noise level is now acceptable and we didn't have to buy a whole new fan.

I contacted Bohnet Electric to provide me with a quote for some electrical repairs in my rental unit via email. I received an email the next day and set up for a time to meet for the quote. I live outside of the state that my rental unit is in so I wanted to be there for the walk through. Pat was not able to make the initial apt but did the walk through with me on the phone while my tenant was home. He worked well with my tenant, and was able to complete the repairs around her work schedule. He even took my ceiling fan back to their shop to repair that so I didn't have to replace it! I would definitely use this company again. They included me in all the decisions and didn't mind me sending a check in the mail for payment. I found it very easy to work with them even though I'm out of state.

We're very happy with him. He did more than he said he would. The only thing is that he's very busy but he did great work and I like him a lot. I like that he's affordable, he's very good at what he does and that he's reliable. We had 2 quotes done and he was the lowest bid.

It was fine and we didn't have any problems. They were very friendly and they gave a very good explanation of the work. They were dependable. They have been around for a long time. Their work is top notch. We had a little trouble getting a response.

Called them on a Thursday, came to the house on the following Thursday. Had to follow up to get an initial call-back. But, once we were able to make contact, they were extremely prompt, professional, and quick. Will call them back again.
