We purchased flooring for 4 rooms -- bedroom, den, laundry room, and kitchen. We are happy with the carpet in the bedroom and den, although the installers had to come back twice to correct mistakes. The vinyl sheet in the laundry room is also good although, again, installers had to return to to fix a problem. The vinyl plank laminate in the kitchen is a problem. The salesman emphasized repeatedly that it was "100% waterproof," which was important to us for our kitchen. About 2 years after installation, the floor began to buckle and to squish underfoot. When I called the salesman about it, he explained that "100% waterproof" means that, if you spill something on it and wipe it up immediately, the flooring will not be damaged. Ours was damaged because we had been mopping it once a week with water. He pointed out that the warranty document specified that it should only be cleaned with "a pump spray cleaner and a micro fiber mop." I think it is unreasonable for such important information to be hidden in the fine print of the warranty document. There was no need for him to lie to us. If he had told us that we couldn't mop this flooring, we would just have chosen something else.

The owner, Matt Tomanica, charged me and my ex-contractor for my tile order. He insisted he didn't know that I'd paid in full when confronted. He re-paid my ex-contractor instead of me, when he knew full well that my ex-contractor, whom he recommended in the first place, had taken $60,000 of my money to do a renovation, which he abandoned after a week because of his crack cocaine addiction and went to jail. Ex-contractor is now in rehab and is working for Matt Tomanica. I took them both to small claims, and in the mediation they insisted they owed me nothing, so I dropped the case not wishing to fight them. The tile was delivered today, and part of it was missing and the wrong color. Mr. Tomanica insisted it was exactly what I ordered and that he had done all he was required to do. I am disgusted!

Very good price on flooring and installation. Salesman at the store knowledgable and friendly. Easy to order and schedule. The installation was done well, but the crew was late both days. They were suppose to begin first thing in the morning which turned out to be 10:30. When they finished for the day, they said they would be back at 7:30 the next morning. They showed up at 9:30. I would use them again due to price, quality and experience at the store, but would ask for a different crew to install.

The person that they contract to do the actual flooring was a perfectionist. I couldn't have asked anybody better. He was fabulous. They were great. I would recommend them to others. I would use them again if need be.

Matt helped us choose the best flooring to fit our needs and budget. He was also able to combine 2 financing promotions to make the purchase possible. Installers were professional and completed the work on time with quality results. Tim's crew with the laminate and Earl's with the carpet moved the furniture, put it back into place and cleaned up the mess. We are very pleased.

He is very good.  He was very patient at the store.  His contractor delayed the work.  The carpeting was on time.  He does not fly for his job.  It took him pretty much all day, but it looks great.  I can't even see what it seems right now.  The price was pretty good.

Dealing with American Flooring was a very positive experience. Our salesman, Matt Tomanica, was very professional and very accommodating. He listened to our needs and wants and made numerous suggestions about carpet types and colors. We shopped three different carpet stores and American Flooring had the best carpet at the best price. The estimator worked quickly and efficiently and made an excellent suggestion about how the stairs in the entry way should be covered. The carpet was ordered and it was received by American Flooring exactly when expected. The carpet installers arrived at the scheduled time and went right to work moving furniture and removing the old carpet. They treated our furniture with care, and covered our wood floors in the dining room and kitchen with pieces of the old carpet before moving furniture into these rooms. We were impressed with the way they worked together to get the job done . Each knew what needed to be done and how to do it. We've always believed that no matter how good carpet is, the way it is installed is extremely important for durability and attractiveness. We are very happy with the way this carpet looks. Seams do not show and doorways are secure. When the installers were finished they cleaned up and removed all waste materials. They were very conscientious about returning all furniture to its original position. All the American Flooring employees we came in contact with contributed to making this a very good experience. We highly recommend them for quality carpet and a very competitive price.
