My house in Howard City was charged $2.24/gallon for prepaid gas. I have another house in the Upper Peninsula that cost $1.79/gallon for prepay gas. I checked with my neighbors and they only paid $1.79/gallon for their prepaid gas. I called a couple of the other gas companies in the area and they said that the highest that gas has been this summer is $2.09/gallon, and the average is between $1.79-$1.89. When I called the gas company to find out why it cost that much, they told me that was what it cost and that is how much they are charging. I'm going to get a hold of the attorney general as well for price gauging. I feel like they are doing this to senior citizens, and they have probably been doing this for years but I had not caught it until now.
