In response to this issue with the piping in the attic area, Lake Orion Roofing can not always foresee issues that may occur with existing or added piping until there is an issue. Although there was an issue with yours, and it did take several attempts, we here at Lake Orion Roofing are happy that we were able to assist you in getting it resolved! Thank you again for your business and your feedback.Service Provider Response
Our deepest apologies go out this homeowner. After searching our records, it has been determined that the proposal for the roof replacement on this home was mailed in March of 2012, which was just after one of our sales representatives measured the job. We did in fact visit the site of the home, and we did in fact send a proposal via regular mail. It is a shame that it took so long for this homeowner to realize that she hadn’t received the requested quote for her roof replacement on her home. I hope that the Members will accept our apology for our lack of following up on the part of Lake Orion Roofing. Please be advised that every potential customer is very important to Lake Orion Roofing, and that no opportunity is every disregarded.Service Provider Response
Although Lake Orion Roofing was not awarded this job, this customer feels the need to slander our company on Angies List. Regarding the home next door, this is a falecy, we did not do the neighbors roof.Service Provider Response
To all out there who have read this "review" from the person who claims Lake Orion Roofing has "caused many leaks"... I had a chat with the owner of the company, who explained this entire saga to me in detail. It was NOT leaks from any "rain" at all... all "leaks" were due to condensation running down the walls from lack of proper insulation in the attic AFTER they vented the attic per manufacturer specifications, as they are required to do. Cold air, now in attic via proper ventilation, with little to no insulation in your attic, causes "sweating of drywall on inside of house" thus running down walls, and this all occurred "during winter months ONLY"... nothing during any rain season at all. All documented. I happened to run across a very similar article, and would put money on it that this is the same person, had sued Lake Orion Roofing for ""infesting their home with mold"... Take a second, stop and think: How could it be even remotely possible, that a roofing contractor via removing & replacing shingles on a home, POSSIBLY infest a home with mold?? Did they run back to their basement laboratory, mix up some toxic mold, then come back to infest a house with it? MOLD is a "LONG TERM" problem, not a short term issue. My recommendation is that you do some research on "how mold is created, grows over a "long period of time". Then once you're educated a bit, call and apologize for your knee-jerk reactions based on a "hypothetical, non-scientific report" from companies clasified as "Fear Mongers" (Mold Remedation companies... the people that wear white suits, scrape cilicibins, etc. and install FEAR into people about mold to justify their existence). You owe Lake Orion Roofing and the entire public a formal apology for slamming a good, honest company. I also read on the internet where you ran into court (based on your greed) and "fradulently robbed an insurance company for money" since this is how people like yourself survive in today's climate. Yes, this was all made "public by yourself" on the internet, via a bit of research, and then to whine publicly about how could they dare only offer me $xxx dollars... this is nothing short of absurb & pure greed. I had Lake Orion Roofing install my roof... and have never experienced such professional service from start to finish. I couldn't have asked for a better company to handle my project if God himself were to throw one from the sky. They were by leaps and bounds, the most professional company I've ever dealt with. I did plenty of homework on them, checking and talking with many of their thousands of references, trade associations, manufacturer certifications, licensing, insurance companies (some of which you stole money from, fraudently), and best of all, very competitive in their pricing when comparing "specification to specification", credentials, staying power for over 25 years. In my opinion and "the thousands of others" who have had Lake Orion Roofing do their roofs, were by far the most professional contractor I've ever come across, and I've dealt with many of them. Contracting companies, for your information since you didn't do your homework, simply do not exist over 25 years by "doing the wrong thing" for customers... their staying power speaks for itself. Time for you to grow up and take life as it is, instead of finding an easy out with someone's insurance policy... especially when you talk of "no legal recourse"... really? Very ironic coming from a person who just ran into court, grabbed a check and went about their merry way, wouldn't you say? Lake Orion Roofing is by far, the most professional company I've ever dealt with, and they stand behind every word they speak.Angi Certified
