John Knope, who is the owner of Knope Painting, did most of the work himself and did an excellent job. The quality of the work was excellent and the results were beautiful. John fixed wall and ceiling cracks and other issues instead of just painting over them. John was very good at communicating status of job, expected progress and completion. John handled special requests without complaints. Job took a little longer than expected but it was completed in a reasonable time frame. John's pricing was fair and competitive. I would highly recommend Knope Painting for your next painting project.

John gave me a quote and stuck to his price.  The only increase were to items I added on later.  John was punctual and very thorough. John and his crew are very professional and knowledgeable in their work. They are also  sticklers on doing the job right, it was like they were working on their own house. I did not care too much on a deadline since the house was vacant. 
John has painted my old house which included the entire inside, outside, deck and screened in porch.  John has been the only painter I have used.  I have had him quoted with other companies and he has come in as the best quote.  All my future work will be done by John.  He is more than a painter in regards to skills. He is quite the handyman as well as his crew with painting, mortar and carpentry skills.

John and his crew are amazing.  They are very careful and do an excellent job.  Have shared his contact with my friends and they have all been very pleased with his work

We had John repair drywall work previously done by another drywall company. He then painted the kitchen, living room, hallway and stairs ceiling and walls. All the trim and doors inside were also done. He did a very good job and will be coming back to do the basement at a later date. We were very pleased with his work.

John was very professional. Completed the work on time for the interior. He even corrected minor deficiencies found later with no hassle. The exterior was a little more lengthy as the job depended on the weather and workload. John provides a very reasonable price however if the job is running a tight schedule may not be the best selection without planning.

Job was contracted in mid-July with expected completion in 30-45 days. The only frustration I had working with John were the delays in starting the project. Once he started, the job was completed quickly and with superior quality. The job was completed about 90 days after the contract date.

We had four companies quote this job. We had a list of areas on the house that needed work, also the screened in porch and deck needed to be cleaned, painted and sealed. Knope Painting was the first to respond and gave us a quote on the spot. Knope Painting came in with a crew of people. They scraped and power washed all house areas, porch and deck. They left and came back after all was dry. They sealed our porch and deck floor. All verticals on the deck and porch were than painted. After the deck and porch were done they concentrated on the house. Because of the original house color being faded the new paint did not match. Knope Painting went back to the supplier and re-tinted the new paint till it matched the old paint. ( the other painters stated because of the old paint being faded they could not guarantee the color match). After the job was done we did a walk about to verify all work was completed. Knope Painting stated they would come back free of charge if any touch up was needed.

John went out of his way to give us a good and complete job.

We have had Knope Painting paint our entire house, inside and outside. They also faux painted a small bath room and installed crown molding in our family room.

It was an excellent experience. John and his crew arrived on time and finished both the kitchen and living rooms in record time. We are a non-profit organization, and I believe that John was extremely fair in charging us for his services. We have five homes in Southeastern Michigan, and I will be calling Knope Painting for services in our other homes. Knope Painting apparently does exterior painting, decks, flooring, etc. as well.
