Services we offer
We specialize in 2 areas: BAT REMOVAL and MICE CONTROL. We offer humane bat exclusion services to maintain bat-free homes. We specialize in this service and are the ONLY company recommended by the Organization for Bat Conservation for SE Michigan. Our Prevent-A-Mouse program is an evolved process that can solve your mouse problem. Due to the reproductive power of this rodent, effective control requires breaking the population boom cycle.

"Thank you for the feedback! I will pass along the info to our team."
"- Thank you so much for the feedback. We REALLY appreciate the time that you took to describe your experience. Ricky is a Wildlife Biologist that recently graduated from MSU. He is currently studying toucans in Costa Rica for a portion of the winter (our slower season), but will be back chasing bats this Spring. We are able to attract talented staff because we offer our employees an attractive compensation package. We think that this is a critical component in having an excellent customer experience."
"Thank you for the feedback! Please do not hesitate to give us a call, if you have any further trouble with wildlife. We have two employees that are dedicated to manage the phones and are available 7 days/week."
"Thank you so much for the positive feedback. I will let Brian (the technician that serviced your home) know that you were pleased with our service. We do post employee photos on our website so you know is coming to your home!"
"Member - Thank you so much for your feedback. Your assessment was accurate (we are extremely busy in the summer). The interesting thing about our business is that is challenging to properly staff for the demand. Our business has 4 distinct seasons, and our business demand change with the seasons. It seems that we are understaffed 3 months of the year...over staffed 3 months of the year...and have perfect levels for 6 months. We keep our team throughout the various seasons because we realize the importance of having well trained staff to perform bat exclusions. At the time you booked the exclusion, we were running quite a backlog of work...and I understand the B rating on responsiveness. We do run logistics software to maximize the efficiency of our routing and manage our technicians time. We do have dedicated phone support, so you can be sure to reach us 7 days per week. We are a growing business and are planning to add our 5th truck (and 2 new hires) in the Spring of 2013 - VERY EXCITING! The last new hire was a recent graduate of MSU and is a Wildlife Biologist. We do compensate our employees well, which may contribute to the B rating on price. Many customers appreciate the good quality work. Our bat exclusion prices vary depending on the size, condition, and complexity of the home. We appreciate your business, feedback, and overall A rating."
"Member: Thank you so much for the feedback. We started your bat exclusion during the maternity season (where baby bats can't fly). We completed all the caulking and screening of vents, but we did not install the one way doors to evict the bats. By waiting, we allow the babies to mature to a point where they can fly. This process helps the bats - AND it helps protect your family. If we were to install the one-way doors, then we may increase the risk for baby bats to fall on the ground and be accidentally handled by pets or children. By being patient, we can reduce risk and solve your bat problem in a humane manner. Thank you so much for your feedback and understanding of our bat exclusion process!"
"Thank you so much for the positive feedback! I just wanted to remind you that our trapping customers may have the traps reset (for no charge) for a period of 1 year. This is helpful, if another problem critter moves into the area. There is only the animal capture fee, if we are successful. We certainly do appreciate the nice comments. We post this feedback in a common area that the team can review at the start of the day. I frequently see them looking at the comments - and they sure brighten up.....even when one of those 100 degree days is upon us! We know just how important it is to inspect attics...who really wants to go up there? We inspect every attic, unless a customer declines access."
Update 6/14/2013. Their "prevent-a-mouse" program -- After four "replenishments" over the last 12-15 months and several $ hundreds of dollars, I'm still getting mice. In fact, I've gotten more than a few myself using spring traps and Hershey's chocolate.
I'm also getting mice nests in areas of my basement rim, because they only put their "bait stations" in the corners and don't even bother to look and see if they should focus their attention to any other areas.
I was starting to wonder about why I was continuing to feed this company money while still getting mice. They aren't interested in figuring out where mice are coming in, how to prevent that. Just try to see if the customer will keep paying for a service to have their "technicians" come out and replace the bait.
After listening to every excuse and analogy in the world, I finally asked VONNY, their customer-service firewall, if the owner would like to come and re-a**** the situation. More excuses and reasons why he wouldn't be doing that, and how maybe I'm not a "good fit" for their service. Are you kidding me?
"Member: Thank you for the feedback. Our initial service call ($129) included an inspection of your home - top to bottom. Our service call has been the same for the past 7 years. We go inside your attic(s) and also inspect basement(s). Many find this to be a value...who goes inside their attic? The inspection includes a written report of our findings. If you complete the prevent-a-mouse program (initial setup & 3 replenishments)....we waive our service call for the second year. There is no obligation to complete the program, so you can control your cost. The flexibility of this program is a benefit, because you are not locked into a monthly/quarterly program."
"Thank you for the feedback. We appreciate that you mentioned that we release the critters. Many of the critter problems that we manage involve relocating the animal back into the natural environment. In 2011, we acquired approximately 15 acres of private high quality habitat. Approximately 13 acres of the land is mature oak & hickory forest. The land is surrounded by approximately 5400 acres of State land. Photos of the property are located on our website. Other critter issues, such as bat problems, involve an exclusion. In this case, the bats are locked out of your home using caulking techniques combined with a one-way valve that allows them to leave unharmed. We do utilize pesticides for rodents, such as mice. Mice only live 1 year, and reproduce rapidly. Pesticide, used in the correct manner, will solve mice problems and prevent re-establishment of the population in your home."
"Member: Thank you so much for the feedback! Our bat exclusions come with a 1 year service agreement. One of the important components of a service agreement (over a guarantee), is that it includes omissions and errors. For example, if the bats find an opening that we did not seal, we come back and seal it up for NO additional charge. This goes a step further than guaranteeing only the repairs that we made. After all, many wildlife control firms use the materials such as caulk or screen. Please be sure to give us a call, if you hear any activity, and we really appreciate the good marks! Our technician biography’s and photos are posted on our website."
"Member: Thank you for the review!"
"Member - Thank you for the positive feedback. I am pleased to hear that the problem that you had last January was solved to your satisfaction."
"Thank you for considering our services for a second time. Unfortunately, since you moved to California, it is outside our service area. We are a SE Michigan based company, and our territory is noted on our website and the Angies list profile. Our services are in demand, and there are times that we do not accept new customers. It would be challenging to provide excellent service, if we accepted every opportunity that was available, so we manage our service territory and accept new customers accordingly. Similar to your favorite doctor's office, we continue to provide services to customers that we have done business from in the past. We value our customer base, and we would be happy to help. Unfortunately, California is just too far from Michigan!"
The times I called to speak to Vonnie, it was apparent they were always busy, she would typically take my name and promise to call back, she never failed to return my call in a short time. Very well run small business.
"Thank you so much for the feedback. That was very nice of you to circle back and post a review of the bat exclusion project that we started in Aug 2011."
"Thank you for taking the time to provide some feedback and rating our service. We do appreciate it!"
"Member - Thank you so much for the feedback! We really appreciate the comments and I will pass along to the rest of the team."
"Member - Thank you so much for the response. You certainly did have a challenging raccoon problem that we remember well. Our team appreciates the time that you took to post such a thoughtful response on Angies List."
"Member - Thank you for the feedback. We are very pleased that you found our team to be responsive and friendly. Our bat exclusions include caulking of the home with a clear caulk, and screening of vents. The visable PVC pipe is a temporary device that is used as a one-way door to allow the bats to exit. The bat exclusion comes with a 1 year service agreement, so there is no further cost to have us out during the term to address bat problems. Thank you so much for the feedback!"
"Thank you for the feedback. I appreciate that you returned to Angie's List to provide feedback a full 7 months after our initial meeting. Our team really appreciates the nice comments, especially after evaluating us for such a long period. According to our database, we were at your home 4 times over the course of our 1 year service agreement. Thank you for your business and for taking the time to comment."
"Our team is very motivated, and we sure appreciate the nice feedback. Don't forget that our contract is for a period of 1 year. There is no cost to reset the trap, should you have any other critters causing damage to your property. Also, our written inspection includes a review of your attic."
"Thank you so much for the suggestion to add booties to our trucks. We now utilize booties on our service calls."
"Thank you for the response. Our prices are competitive with other companies especially if you consider the amount of caulking that we complete. Bat exclusions require extensive sealing of the home and we address areas that are skipped by others. We compete on exceptional service and exceptional credentials."
