As a former vet tech, I'm impressed by the amount of time that he spends with each patient/client, and how thorough he is in his exam, without charging for multiple services. He has neutered two kittens, vaccinated four cats, handled a feline eye infection and dealt with our elderly dog's arthritis. He is up to date on current pharmaceutical therapies, but is also open to reasonable holistic therapies as well. He asks about and pays attention to the behavioral wellness of your pets as well as the physical. I can tell that he is trying to keep pets both happy and healthy, so his patients can live out long, wonderful lives with their people. It's not a high-tech office, but it's a very good one. Highly recommended by someone who was in veterinary medicine and is now a nurse.

This guy is fantastic with animals. You know when someone just truly loves what they do- and connect with the animal and with you? Takes the time to listen about concerns, gives feedback / advice. Sincere and truly a big heart for all animals. You won't be disappointed. Also mails me annual medicines because I live a bit out of town. Personalized care.

I have lived in the area for more than 2 years and had not yet found the right vet for my 13 year old Golden Retriever. Someone recommended Dr. Harrison and called him the and quot;dog whispererand quot;. It was a bit of a drive from Traverse to his office but I like the drive. The office is in a home in the country and it has a very make-yourself-at-home atmosphere. Everyone was nice. Dr. Harrison sat on the floor with my dog and he really cared for and seemed to love her. His advice was practical. When I needed
to get meds later in the week they made it easy to do so after hours. Once one of the employees brought the medications to TC and let me pick them up at her house. I highly recommend this clinic!

The clinic is out of the way, but Dr. Harris and the staff are very good, open, and communicate well. They are honest in their assessments. I will use them again in a heartbeat.
