C & R Drilling

i moved from chicago, so that should tell you how much i know about wells and pumps! first off, they were here almost before i hung up the phone with them!! (i had been left their # by the previous owner) when i asked why they got here so quickly, they told me that NO water was considered and emergency to them. in chicago, no water means find a gas station close by until someone decides to help. like i said, they told me that all the racket my pump was making was due to the bearings going, and the best time to rebuild it was that day; 'cause they were already out here, and in the well. (my pump is in, or on top of, my well) when i agreed i wasn't sure if i was being "taken", or not. when i got their reciept i realized that they actually saved me the $175.00 service call fee, which i would have had to pay again, had i waited until the pump DID go out. when the guy came to my door after all the work was done, (a matter of 2 hours!), and handed me the reciept to pay, i had to ask where my pump was. he told me that it's in and all done. honestly, i couldn't hear a thing anymore!! i almost didn't believe that the pump was in and working because it was so quiet now! these people knew my "story" and that i didn't have a clue. they also knew (once they came out) that theirs was the only # i knew to call. they could've REALLY stuck it to me, and i wouldn't have known the difference. all i have to do now is, in the spring/summer, turn the heater off, and then back on next winter. with the pump rebuilt, i probably won't need to call these guys again, for quite a while!
