They responded right away. They were very knowledgeable and professional and took good care of us. Outstanding job performance. I would definitely refer other people here. Cost of the service was very fair, not over priced like most places.

I found Oak Hill Electric through a and quot;friend of a friendand quot; referral. Mr. Mel Hill was extremely nice, and even called me back while he was on his vacation. It did take a few phone calls to get in touch with anyone, hence the and quot;Cand quot; grade for responsiveness.
On the phone, I explained my list of items that needed to be fixed, including installation of a ceiling fan, replacement of a few switches, investigation of a non-working light fixture, and potential addition of a fixture to a room. Mr. Hill said that he could do all of those projects, and quoted me a price of $35/hour, which I thought was quite fair.
The day of the service, he showed up with another electrician from his company, and explained that because there were two of them, it would be $35/hour per electrician, therefore $70/hour. This caught me off guard, as I had budgeted for $35/hour and was not told in advance that two electricians would be coming. Therefore, they get a and quot;Cand quot; for pricing. I don't know if this is standard practice for electricians or not, perhaps he thought it was common sense and I just didn't know that most electricians usually send more than one person.
Mr. Hill and his co-worker were very polite and nice, and were happy to show me exactly what needed to be repaired. I had no doubts about their sincerety or honesty.
I only had two negative experiences, aside from the price misunderstanding:
1) I am not an electrician, so I cannot judge with 100% accuracy; however, it seemed like the projects took a lot longer than I expected they would. I did not feel that having two electricians present made the job go any faster. It took them 5 hours to do the jobs that I had expected to be done in 2-3 hours, max - at $70/hour, that added up very quickly.
2) They did not clean up after themselves. The installation of the light fixture in the bathroom required that they cut into the drywall, and when after they left I went to use the bathroom, I found plaster chunks and dust all over the place. They also did not offer to wear booties or lay down mats when walking through the house, even though it was a rainy day.
I am hesitant to write anything negative, as I truly appreciated Mr. Hill's polite demeanor, kindness, and willingness to help. That being said, given the pricing and the length of time it takes them to complete a job, I do not think I will be calling them again.

I have used them off and on over the years. I don't know how much it ended up costing because it was part of a construction project and they were just the electricians who were called in to do that part of the job. They are technically very proficient and everything is nice and neat, as I would expect it to be although it not always is. They just did nice, neat work as far as the installation of the wiring and the outlets and all that. I would recommend them. They are reasonable for the quality of work. I have used them many times.
