We are proud to have 65 years backing our knowledge and experiences. In 1981, Tom Little purchased ServiceMaster here in Kalamazoo. With a committed and determined staff, we work everyday cleaning and restoring homes & businesses here in Southwest Michigan.

This is the 2nd year I got Servicemaster to do our annual carpet cleaning . Last year's technician was very good. Tho I asked and he was not available this year , the young man who came was equally as good, courteous , and efficient.. When he was done he had paid attention to areas of soil I had marked with masking tape ie: the edges of carpet where the metal edging had discolored the carpet with tarnish, the pathways matted from foot traffic , etc.
The carpet was not overly saturated with soap or water ( which was a horror story when I first got the carpet cleaned 10 years ago by another vendor who I will never call again.) I always mention to the tech about this in case we get inexperience. However SM has come thru with great guys both times I have hired them. When he got done our carpet pile was again and quot;fluffy and quot; and looked new as possible after 13 years since installation. !!
We had moved dining room chairs and porch furniture out on to linoleum and outside patio.(No Rain day I always check weather forecasts and schedule in summer to enable this.) I pointed out heavy furniture not necessary to be moved . We do this more for Precautions /assurance that our good furniture and upholstery is not scratched or soiled and optimum time of their visit is spent on cleaning the carpet. I always schedule our cleaning the first one in the morning of the day they are coming. Let's face it: Moving furniture is exhausting no matter how young you are. I'm sure they appreciate our doing so also.
As far as the price, I checked several other vendors and they could not come close to this price which was the same as they charged last year. In contracting with them buy phone I simply said I would like to have the same job I had done last year and the secretary said they could do that and quot;with a coupon that was available in their advertising. I think it is always good toa ask if there is a special promotion--Who knows ! they may just knock off $10 or more if you tell them you noted a competitor (give them the name) has a special going on.
When the tech questioned about the walk in closet which I had not mentioned on scheduling, he called the office and she told him to go ahead and do that for the price. There was no hassle.
Servicemaster is continuing their quality and value and I will call them again next year .

My insurance company referred them.
They did everything.
Clean up and extraction of the water.
They took everything out of the house and even took the clothes to a cleaner.
Took the damaged furniture to a furniture place to be repaired.
Got the rest of the contents in the house all packed and sent to a storage facility.
Helped me to through and take pictures and document all damaged items.
They were absolutely fantastic !
They all worked as a team, when one job was finished they went right to another.
No one was ever standing around.
It was truly a team effort, I have never seen so many people work so hard.
Very Professional.
