After several seasons of trying to work with another big HVAC company in the area (whose name starts with a "Vr" and advertises nonstop on TV) and having them fail to repair my furnace in the winter and then tell me I needed a new $9K central AC unit in the summer (when the AC problem was just a $37 part), I tried Norris Heating. Mark immediately diagnosed the recurring furnace problem and went out of his way to have the manufacturer warranty the repairs. He went above and beyond every step of the way. I contacted Mark on Sunday after reading his Angie's List reviews. He called me back within a couple of hours and we set a Wed appt for him to check out my A/C unit. He came out at our scheduled time and took care of the problem and we will be nice and cool this 4th of July. Mark Norris is knowledgable, professional and he was very fair in his charges.. I would most definitely use him in the future- in fact I have a couple of things that I have already talked to him about. I highly recommend Mark and Norris Heating and Cooling for your heating and a/c service.

The upstairs A/C unit at our lake house stopped working and there seemed to be an issue with the compressor. We had previously used Norris Heating and Cooling to install a new water heater and were happy with the work, so we called Mark about the A/C issue. He came out about a week later to take a look at the system and do the repairs. I also asked him to do a tune up on both A/C units. I had tried to schedule the visit when my neighbor could open the house for him, however, we could not coordinate schedules. Based on my previous experience with Mark, and the fact that we were desperate to get the repair done, we felt comfortable enough giving him access to our key box and he completed the work without us there. He called the day after the repair with an update of what he'd found, the parts that were replaced, etc.
I don't think they are a large operation and the calls get routed to Mark's cell phone. It is a little tough to schedule things with him, especially if he has a lot of jobs to do, but he is honest and fair. We thought his pricing was VERY reasonable. When he called me with the update, he even suggested that we consider swapping out our thermostat for one of the ones that you can program via your smartphone app so we could cool the house prior to arriving for the weekend. I explained that we had actually purchased one but had trouble installing it because one of the wires didn't seem to be live. Mark said it was probably an easy fix and offered to walk my husband through it on the phone over the weekend, no charge. Mark is a good guy and I am sure we will use him again.

Mark called me right back after I called his answering service. Mark is always professional and never rude. He is knowledgeable and can answer any question about any kind of unit I have presented to him. He is very mechanical and analyzes the entire system before deciding what needs to be repaired. He is not one of those people who goes on a fishing expedition replacing random parts until he finds the right fix. He knows his business. I have used his services on multiple occasions and each time he does the right thing. He is respectful of the client and wears boot covers in the house. He cleans up any debris and leaves the area around the furnace in cleaner shape than he found it. Because of his quality of work he is a busy guy and worth the short wait. However, when he is at your house he will treat you like you are the only customer he has on his list; very patient and willing to answer all your questions. He always tells you thank you for your business.

Mark has worked on several furnaces for me over the past two years. I try to do as much work on my own but there are just some things I cant do. Mark always tries to help me out over the phone with simple things. If I cant get it to work he always finds the time to stop by and fix it. His prices are reasonable. The fact he offers me advise on the simple things instead of telling me he needs to do all the work, tells me he is willing to help me save money on unnecessary service calls. I always think of him for the major issues that need repairs. He doesn't cut corners and does it right the first time.

Norris Heating and Cooling was wonderful. I had another company come out before I called them. The other company looked at my Air Conditioner, didn't fix anything, and then it was leaking worse than ever. They charged me $187. Norris came out and temporarily fixed it while waiting for the right part to come in and only charged me $85. While waiting for the part to come in, the other company called me and let me know that it would be $1200 to fix my air conditioner. I let them know that I decided to go with someone else. Norris fixed it for me for $490, including parts and labor. I will definitely use them again in the future. They're great guys!

Work was done in a timely manner, very professional and friendly. Very fair on their prices too!
