Gave estimate over phone vs coming and taking a look, told it was large space and needed 2 trips due to large furniture that sould not be moved out, said "no problem, no difference in cost".  Was upset upon arrival because although address complete with zip code and phone number were provided he got lost, but did not call to confirm or ask for directions.  Complained upon arrival because basement did not have walk out and he would have to carry heavy equipment and then because he had not realized the distance to my home tacked on a $25 per trip fee (after saying "no problem" on phone"  . As I just wanted to get the job done  I agreed (haste makes waste!) He then  proceed to dump 2 inches of water onto floor and then as he did not have a water extractor or even a towel to dry it up then got upset because the floor was'nt dry enough to apply to wax!  After this he claimed it must be something wrong with the tile, put a fan on and left. The next morning i phone him to find out his plans and he proceeded to tell me that he would need to add an additional $25 charge as he thought it would take an additional day due to a non existent tile problem.  I remarked that this was getting much more expensive than the agreed upon price and he informed me that the charge is $80 per hour and that he already wasted 2 1/2 hour at my home.  At this point he began to rant,yell, and call me names while demanding $250.00.  As he had only stripped the wax off 25% of the job I said I thought $125 was fair and we should try to work out a compromise; at this point he went crazy and screamed profanities at me so I hung up.  I immediately phoned my husband who calmly called Mr. Kersjes and tried to speak to him but found him to be argumentative and not capable of speaking rationally so my husband stated he would pay the $250, please pick up the fan he left at our home and the check would be taped to the fan on our covered porch for him to pick up and hung up.
I promptly put the fan with the check taped to it and locked the doors.  This man was so threatening I was advised by a person from the local chamber of commerce to call the sheriff as well as the Better Business Bureau. But it does'nt end there!  After that I got a he called me back to lower his price to $175, continued to try and tell me why things were not his fault, and actually wanted back in my house to finish the job. at this point I felt very threatened and told him to please just take the check and his equipment as I wanted this experience to be over with.  He then asked me for a good reference ( after swearing and yelling at me only minutes earlier!). An hour later his wife called (from a different number) to apologize, make excuses for her husband, and tell me there would be no charge.  I told her I just wanted this to end, the check and fan were on the porch.  Someone finally came and picked up the fan and left the check taped to the window but although we were not charged this was a horrible experience.  I would not EVER let this man, Kris Kersjes, near my home.  I feel a bit frightened even writing this review but would not want anyone else to have this experience.
