Gregersen Photography

I used Gregersen because I pretty much looked at EVERY photographer in the area and the photos on her website were my favorite.  I contacted her and she told me about the different pricing options, and I chose the 1 year package, where she takes photos at the newborn stage, 6 months, 9 months (if you pay upfront) and 1 year points in her life. 
My daughter was already almost 2 months so she got me on the schedule quickly so I could still capture the "newborn" stage.  We went to the studio, and because my daughter was being a little fussy, ended up being there for almost 3 hours.  I really appreciated that the process didn't feel rushed. 
My husband wasn't able to make the appointment for ordering the prints, so they allowed me to access the photos online a couple days before so he could look at them and choose his favorites - which was really convenient because I wouldn't have been able to decide... they were all so beautiful!
I then went in for the ordering appointment and met with Leigh, Melissa's assistant.  Leigh went through all the options with me and was great to work with.  She told me she would have a proof for the Birth announcements that day, and I had it within hours; she told me she would put the pictures on a smartphone app so I could show friends on my phone, and I had it within 2 days!  It's really nice to work with people you don't constantly have to follow up with to get anything done. 
On top of being great to work with, the pictures were absolutely perfect! I couldn't have been more impressed.  The backdrops, lighting, and outfits worked so great together.... and even though I still have some baby weight on me, she captured me at good angles so it's not apparent.  It was a far cry from someone who purchases a nice camera and calls themselves a photographer. These people were truly professionals.
The only thing I was bummed about is that you can't order a DVD with the prints on them, and ordering a single 4x6 photo was $25 each (and I wanted 23 of them).  The phone app is great, but I have grandparents that live out of town and don't have a smart phone.  It would've been nice to be able to send them the DVD so they could see all of the photos.  The main reason I gave a "C" on price is because the print options are very expensive- I ended up spending an additional $615 on prints, and this is just for the "newborn" stage. Although, the quality makes it well worth it.  There is a huge difference between the quality from this studio and something from Sears.
Ultimately, I was extremely happy with the entire process.  And now I have the most beautiful pictures of my daughter that I can treasure forever :-) I would highly recommend Gregersen photography to all of my friends.
