While driving around town on a Friday, the dial showed our car getting VERY hot. We drove immediately to Furr Auto a repair shop we have used often in the past. The part was ordered over the week end and installed on Monday.
If we buy a used car, we always take the prospect to Furr for a look-over before we buy. They take out their probe attached to a stethescope like listening device to detect any hidden problems. If they say "no" we continue looking. They have never been wrong. As a woman with limited car repair knowledge, I can go into the shop and try to describe a noise or a strange tightness in the driving and the staff will take all the time I need to discuss the problem or take me for a drive to help identify the problem. We have complete confidence in their patience and skill. We only use Furr Auto Repair.

Prompt, courteous. honest, great guys to work with, always willing to talk through the pros and cons of any mechanical issue. One of my favorite Seinfeld quotes involves a situation where Jerry is in danger of messing up his relationship with his mechanic, in part because Elaine is seeing him: "You know what a good mechanic is worth?! You can't compare that to s**!" Jack and Steve are just the types of mechanics Jerry was talking about.

ing I thought the water pump had failed on my 2002 venture. After getting
the car, he ran some tests rather than trusting my assumptions and found
that the problem was likely to be a $12.00 radiator cap that failed to
make the van pull fluid from the reservoir. Still not certain he ran a
pressure test to see if he could find out where the fluid had gone which
was causing my van to overheat. He found no leaks, so he told me to
drive it around for a couple of days and see if the new cap and
fluid. Everything went great, I came back and we settled up without any issues.

To be honest, a "burger-flipper" could do it for less, but you wouldn't get this quality. Stick with Jack.

They have worked on all of our cars. Their service is outstanding. They are the type of individuals that will tell you exactly what needs to be done and the order in which it should be done. They made a huge effort to finish the job quickly becuase they knew my son had to report back to his military base. I would take anything to them to be fixed. I would even take a car under warranty to them first. They are by far the best auto reapair facility I have dealt with. They are absolutely great. They are all certified and their certification are all displayed in the shop.

I took the car in several days earlier for 15 minutes while they read the computer codes.
When the parts arrived they called me and we set up a time for the repair.
The time needed for the repair was not definite since they weren't sure of how much of a problem rust might be in removing the old sensor since the car is 10 years old.
However, when the repair was done, rust was not a problem and the repair was completed quicker than estimated and under the dollar estimate.
