Dixon Lawn Care

So I had Dixon clean my yard last year, $600 for cleaning almost two acres with lots of Pine trees that hadn’t been cleaned in over nine years, they did pretty good so I called them back this year. I asked on the call will it be $600 like last year and the guy said more than likely less but I planned on $600 anyways. They showed up today and the guy asked to the woods and I replied the tree line and wood line in backyard. About three hours later my daughters came from outside and said the guys were blowing the pine needle piles and leaves into the wooded area (about four trees deep between and my neighbor) so I walked and asked I thought you were hauling this away like last year (roughly four trailers worth last year) and he said no I said woods. I told him I must have misunderstood, I thought he meant were to clean like last year, tree line to tree line and woods. He said he must have misunderstood as well he thought I said they could push into the wooded between me my neighbor. I said sorry no, I thought it was being hauled away and asked if they could haul away what was left and just leave the big pile of Pine needles in the trees because there was no way to get them all out. About 25 minutes later I receive a call from the owner telling me how currently it was an $850 dollar charge because I changed my mind and wanted to have stuff hauled away, I said I did not change my mind there was a misunderstanding this morning and what was in the wooded area can stay there and they could haul the rest of it away, he once again said you changed you mind accusing me of lying and said it would an additional $250 dollars for them to come back tomorrow and finish the job and I said no thanks. I will not have anyone sit on the phone and call me a liar, this guy is a con-artist, if you are insane enough to hire him you better have a map made and a contract drawn up as to how much money and how they are going to dispose of the leaves and stuff, plus a video tape, if not you had better be ready for an ever increasing price even though they did less work than previously and for him to call you a liar.

Purchased a home and the gutter drainage pipe in the yard was overgrown plugged up and very difficult to locate. This is an issue because rain water will collect around the foundation of the house if the drain is not located and unplugged. Dixon lawn care were rockstars and the work they did exceeded my expectations.

He's okay. You gotta watch the guys. He is really okay. The owner is great but his workers you have to watch them that they don't take out certain flower beds or thing like that. One of the workers had a tinkle tan in the backyard while I was watching him. I called his employer immediately and they took care of it immediately. He was a jerk period. I'm disabled, I was minding my business in the living room and I happened to look out many times when he was trying to look in while I was trying to get dressed. He was not a nice kid. He's gotten rid of the kid so I would recommend them. Any kind of trouble, you can go to him immediately and he will resolve the problem and not argue with you about it. Usually, we have them come every two weeks. Every week in the summer when it's raining and every two weeks in the fall for leaf and lawn pickup. They put down fertilizer four times a year at $50 a pop. They will if you ask them to do leaves and that kind of stuff. That gets a little pricey but if you got a place like ours with about a dozen oak trees, you're going to have to pay to get it done. They also do snow in the winter. You can do that per season if you want or by each time, either way. I think their price is fair. I don't really have a problem with their lawn mowing price. Their snow ploughing price if you buy it by the season then you're taking the gamble of how many times it needs to be ploughed but I think that by buying it by the season, their price is very fair. They're very careful. They haven't mowed down a single plant in all the time we've had them. They are here 8:30 Monday morning. We sleep in because we are both retired. We've been using them for 2 years and we are very happy with them.

The quality of work was great, the end product looks so much better than I expected. The men were courteous and professional and very hard working. The cost for the amount of work done was very reasonable. We had three rock bed/gardens over grown with weeds that were cleaned, new weed barrier placed and the rock redone. Two flower beds running the length of the backyard and side of the house had overgrown and been covered in pine needles from a (now removed) dead tree; they weeded, trimmed trees, removed the debris and river rock and planted grass. There were several other areas around the house where they weeded and cleaned up lawn debris. They edged the sidewalk and driveway. All told the work took five days. The only drawback was that it took an extra weeks to start the work than originally planned, but it was spring and very rainy. That being said, this was also the only company to actually return my phone calls and come provide me with an estimate. I plan to hire them again for a few additional clean projects that I didn't realize I needed done until the rest of the yard was done.

Professional, on time, did what was proposed and followed up. Very satisfied. Paul, the owner came out himself to supervise and also he did much of the work.

The work they did exceeded our expectations - we have never had such a thorough spring cleanup done, and when they came back the next day to do the mulch I was amazed at the care they took to prepare the mulch beds before spreading the fresh mulch. When they finished they took time to blow off the driveway to ensure there was no dirt left behind. They were punctual, professional, and the quality far exceeds any work like this we have ever had done before. I recommend them to everyone I talk to now!

They did an AMAZING job. The service they provided was called their "Fall Clean Up Service". It included blowing all leaves from our lawn (we have 5 large maple trees) and blowing the leaves off our deck, roof, gutters, and gardens. Additionally, the did the final mowing for the season. We live in a township without leaf pick up so we really appreciated the leaf disposal.

The three workers showed up early and began work. They cleaned our the mulch from the flower bed. They then very meticulously laid the weed barrier in the flower bed, being very careful not to damage any of my plants. River rock was then placed on top of the weed barrier. They workers paid attention to detail and worked the entire time they were here. They cleaned up after after the job was completed. The job performed met my expectations and I was pleased.

The job that they did was truly outstanding.  They far excited our expectations.  The flower beds were completely weeded and the mulch completely covered all areas.  It was truly a professional job.  The river rock area looks great.  A giant improvement over how it looked before.  The work was completed in 2 days.  One day for the mulch and about a half a day for the river rock.

My gutters were totally blocked. Dixon Lawn Care quickly came out, cleaned the gutters and downspouts, located blocked downspouts and cleared them, and totally cleaned up so you would not have known they had been there. 

Dixon Lawn Care is a diamond in the rough. I was and have been in a bind since my tractor went down and haven't been able to repair it yet and they came through and have 2 times since with great and quality work and service. I would recommend their work to any and everyone.
