DAVE'S GLASS SERVICES

Stopped into Dave's after work as they are convieniently located right on Q Ave. Showed a picture of the window with dimensions. The lady at the desk wrote out a work order, spoke with the gentleman in the office behind the desk and gave me a quote of $232 and said they'd like to come out and verify my measurements and they'd call to schedule me later in the week. I said sounds good and left. 2 weeks went by and I hadn't heard from them (I was selling my house and needed it fixed ASAP). I stopped back in and they couldn't find the work order, took about 25 minutes and they found it between the desk and the wall; honest mistake. Said they were sorry and they'd get someone out within the week and would call in the afternoon to set it up. Another week and a half and no call. I stopped back in and asked them to open the schedule book and get me written in while I was there and they did so. Guy came out and measured the window two days later. I asked what was next and he said they would order the glass and set up an install said it takes about a week. I wait a week and a half and then call, they hadn't ordered the glass. They immediately ordered the glass and it was there in three days. I know this because I called every day, no longer trusting their ability to be pro-active. The installer showed up three days later and the work was done to an average level of quality. They left marks on the painted wall and scuffing on the window sill. The one guy was being trained by the other and they were rather gruff with their joking and such (I don't care so much but my 9yo was wandering around). Work was completed in July and I didn't receive an invoice until October and to my amazement they charged me $269.58 ($136.40 in material and $125.00 in labor). I called to explain that there was no indication that it would be higher and the guy said, well we should have never ordered your window without requiring a deposit (is this MY problem or yours?). Didn't care that they took forever and caused me all sorts of frustration (I wasn't even looking for a discount for frustration, just payment of the agreed upon quote). There was no getting through to him as it was clear that since the work was done and it's time to pay that he didn't really care if I were satisfied or not he just wanted the money and for me to hang up. I decided that the $30 wasn't worth the time to take any other action other than trying to make others aware that this is not a company worth admiration or your business. Avoid Dave's Glass Service.

.Brought in 9 double glass and quot;thermopaneand quot; window panes with either breached seals or cracks. The replacement panes were ordered and arrived on time. Dave's installed the panes into the windows with a high level of workmanship. Quality of the panes and service was top notch.

For the in store repair work I had last appointment of the day. I was ~10 minutes late due to construction and called to give heads up. Person who answered the phone understood, and said they'd give service tech the heads up. When I arrived, I checked in, gave car keys to person at front desk and settled in waiting room. Waiting room not fancy, but I was able to do work on laptop. I noticed coffee was available. Repair finished in 1 hour 15 minutes, as the front desk has told me. Window neatly installed, front dash cleaned as well. Windshield has not leaked in the week since the installation in spite of some torrential downpours.
As for Fit, service person showed up on time and repair went without any problems. Also no leakage or any other problems since installation.
I chose them because of their close proximity to where we live and desire to do business with local people. I'd go to them again if the situation warrants. Competitively priced although national chain was willing to give discount equal to insurance deductible that would have reduced my out of pocket expense by $75.

Obtained a quote following a house call during kitchen remodel project that was higher than expected, but proceeded with work when we were told the sliding door was larger than a standard door. Called Dave's Glass after about 3 weeks to see when the install would be completed (was told 1.5 - 2 weeks) and scheduled for a few days later. Installer was knowledgeable and thorough and the new glass looks great.

They were incredibly knowledgeable, always responsive, told us exactly what to expect timewise. We got the extra coating on the glass and are very happy. You have to wipe the glass after your shower still, but if you don't, the drips are super easy to wipe off. We loved being able to look at their website for examples and details. Overall one of our best contractor type experiences.

As always, the process was very easy and of highest quality. I stopped in at the showroom at Texas Corners. I'm sure I could have just called, but I love to look at the examples of custom bath/shower designs the have in their show room. They came to my house and took measurements, and, within a week, returned and installed the new large window. They removed the old, cracked window and hauled it away. It was a little difficult to get to the spot because I have a rose garden planted there, but they left everything in perfect condition. I have used Dave's glass before and after this and am always pleased with all aspects of the transaction.

They are a fabulous company. I recommend them. I spent a fair amount of time with the owner who was great and extremely knowledgeable. I like their product.

I have used them before and I'm satisfied with their service . They are very helpful and reliable. They will work with you if you try to figure out something. They helped us with choosing the window and to determine the size of the window that would be best for our application.

They showed up when they said they would and had the window working right within 15 minutes.

They arrived promptly, installed the new glass and removed the old. All went great. These folks are very good and professional.
