All of the items reached their intended destination. That's where the good experience ends. Instead of working smarter they insisted on working harder. Instead of using hand carts they insisted on moving heavy items through the brute force method. They dragged an expensive cabinet across a door thresh hold and damage the base. Thye inverted a refrigerator and freezer while carrying them downstairs. Not only did they have to go to the extra effort of flipping them back upright, but they may have damaged the compressors in the process. ANYONE with ANY experience moving appliances will tell you that flipping appliances like this over is A BAD IDEA. They didn't even know how to remove the doors and handles, if I hadn't directed them they would have pried them off with a screw driver. If you need movers who "aren't smart, but they can lift heavy things", and you don't care about the condition when they are done, these are your movers. If you care about your personal possessions and would like them to arrive in the same condition they started out in, please find someone else to do the job.

They showed up promptly at my 83 yr old Dad's house to move family piano to my home in Lansing. Dad observed they were very careful and polite and professional. They arrived at my house at reasonable time, calling when approximately 1/2 hour away. Good so far! Arrived and truck sat in my driveway for some time. Curious, I went outside and they told me piano had been damaged. Rear door shut so couldn't see it. They said piano tipped over in truck. They had righted piano at that point and were filling out papers and on cell phone to home office. They wouldn't allow me in truck to see damage, and handed phone over to speak with manager. He was kind and professional. Movers were very remorseful, said it never happened before, they followed procedure, etc. I felt bad for them and told them it was just a piano and not to kick themselves too much. I thought one guy was going to cry. He said he was going to get in trouble. Manager told me they would take the piano back to Jackson, have it checked out, repaired and returned to me. However, I needed to pay for move at that point so I did. He said he would call me back in a day or two to let me know what damage was. A week later, still nothing. I called and mgr said restorer was looking at it. He would call me back. Week later, nothing. Called again. Said it would be fixed and would call me back the following week. Nothing. Called two weeks later and said it was still in warehouse and restorer was working on it. Finally, 6 weeks later, I called and he said it was ready! They would deliver it on x day between a and b time. I took off work and was home to meet them. No piano. One hour after b time I finally called and mgr said movers were tied up with another move that was taking longer than expected. I wasn't getting piano that day (why didn't they let me know?). Anyway, he said he would call me back and schedule another move date/time. No call. Week 8, I called and basically demanded to be next on priority list of moves and to get my piano to me when I was available. They showed up on Sat morning as expected, but didn't call me half hour out as promised, and guys were joking about other movers who damaged my 40 year old family piano. They were not professional at all about what had happened and were throwing their coworkers under the bus. Very immature.
