My gasoline pressure washer recently broke for the second time in about five years, and I needed it to wash the siding on the north side of my house, where mildew periodically accumulates. Having purchased the washer at Home Depot, I was told by my local Home Depot that gas pressure washers were now being repaired only through Lansing's Waverly Road store. I dropped off the
pressure washer on July 8 and was promised that my description of the problem would be conveyed to the technician. I didn't hear from anyone for about four weeks, so I called to ask about the status of the repair, including whether it was repairable. I was told that the washer had been shipped out for repair to the "service center," but no other information was available. Another three weeks passed, and on August 27, I called again to ask for a progress report. I was told that someone would call me the next day with some specific information. On the evening of the next day, I received a call and was told that the washer had not even been sent out to the repair center. I informed the staff member, who said he was one of the technicians, that his department had acted incompetently throughout the whole transaction and that I would pick up the still-broken machine in the near future. Summer is essentially over, and I'm now back to square one and may have to rent a pressure washer or hire someone to wash the siding on my house because of Home Depot?s incompetence.
When I dropped off the machine, I noticed tags reading "out of order" on four gas pressure washers that the department had in its rental inventory. I should have concluded then and there that if a store cannot keep its rental equipment in working order, it isn't likely to do a good job with equipment that customers bring in for repair. As it turns out, taking that lesson seriously would have avoided a horrendous experience. I strongly suggest that anyone who is planning to purchase equipment from Home Depot should not count on getting it repaired through that company, even if told that repair services are available. Home Depot's system and staff are clearly not capable of performing efficient rental and repair services. The bottom line is that they simply don't care.

We purchased it in October, but it didn't get installed until December. We had old carpets. They ripped it out and hauled it away. Then they moved the furniture. We paid Home Depot everything. Their price was pretty good. They used the Pergo brand which is of good quality. However, our experience with them was poor because of communication issues.
