Silver Wolf Builders

We hired Silver Wolf Builders LLC in 2021 to install luxury vinyl plank (LVP) flooring in 3 rooms in our home. They did a good job initially. But after a year the floor started to buckle up at a couple of places, separated, and also acted like a trampoline in others. This is over a dry basement, not a crawlspace. We called Tim Anderson, the owner, and he came out. We showed him the problems. He tried giving several reasons why we had caused the problem, none of which were true. After we refuted each of his reasons, he got very snippety and unprofessional. He said that they would correct the underlayment problem if we paid Silver Wolf more money. We had enough of him and his business. We recently had a different company come in, remove the old flooring and look at the quality of work done underneath. They saw a couple of problems. First, the 4 x 8 sheets of underlayment were placed too close together at spots and did not allow for the expansion that occurs normally over time and hot weather. Also, they noticed that Silver Wolf screwed each sheet to the subfloor primarily around the perimeter, and only had a few screws in the middle of each sheet. There is also a question if they used drywall screws and not wood screws. Their poor workmanship caused our problems of buckling, separating, and bouncing of the flooring.
