RED CONSTRUCTION

I should have known not to hire this contractor when he didn't get my name or my phone number correct on the estimate.  He showed up late, left early, didn't even warn me that I'd be without a toilet for a whole week because he started on a Thursday and doesn't work weekends.  The finished bathroom is definitely better than I could've done by myself, but far from what I expected to get for my money.  Their professionalism, communication, and business ettiquette are severely lacking.

His "bill" was a note saying there was a slow leak on the toilet connection that I would have to fix myself and a price to pay.  I called him and told him to send me an invoice, which was nothing more than a price he typed up and printed out on stationary (that didn't even have an address on it where to mail the payment!)  I never knew when the workers would be at my house, and they didn't lock my door when they left for the day. 

I will definitely NOT be hiring this contractor again.  I'm done dealing with him, but I sure would like an actual itemized invoice so I could add up the total, because I"m pretty certain he's just "winging" it on that front.  The original estimate included the labor for demo work on the old bathroom, but I tore down all the old walls, ceiling, took out the bowl and vanity myself - but still ended up paying over the original estimate.

A very disappointing experience at best.
