This experience was a disaster. I paid top dollar to have my bathroom remodeled and I was left with an unfinished job and mistakes that cannot be corrected. Butch Friedman walked from this job. I still even have some of his tools at his home. I eventually called him and asked why he walked away from the job. He said I didn’t walk away but instead was dealing with personal matters. He eventually came back a few months later with a tile expert who rolled his eyes when he saw how poor the work was. However, no further work was ever completed. Instead of having black grout in the shower and white grout outside the shower, I have gray grout because the workers incorrectly applied the grout. These mistakes cannot be fixed because I have a heated floor and there is no extra tile to match what is in place. However, I have hundreds of dollars of extra wall tile left over that was unneeded. Furthermore I had a Lacquer vanity installed that came from Italy. One of the drawers was damaged and Butch was to have this replaced but it never was replaced. The timeline agreed upon was to start in summer 2010 with completion by Thanksgiving 2010. He abandoned the unfinished job in April 2011. Finally, he had successfully completed work for my brother in the past, which is why we hired him. Simply stated, I would never recommend this contractor to anyone.
