Did a wonderful job putting on our New Metal roof!!!😃 They installed it 2 years ago and it has still been holding up well for our house and garage!!!😃 No problems with it at all yet. They installed in within a month of ordering it and finished it all in 1 week maybe 2 . They even were sure to come out after the snow melted and finish cleaning up any debris that was missed from the first clean up... I highly recommend them !

I asked them for an estimate for the shingle replacement. Instead of just giving me an estimate and allowing me to choose to hire them based on their estimate, they went ahead and completed the repair before giving me an estimate. I had to cancel other contractors (thru Angi) that were going to give me estimates since Great Lakes Building already completed the job. After complaining, they ended up not charging me for the roof ridge shingle repair.

I waited a year to post this. People in TC said: "No way can their crew do a good job at that price." Say what? They came in and did the whole tear down, re-roofing, and clean up in a day and a half. "No way is it a good job." People said. Well guess what? After a year, no leaks, no problems. I am totally satisfied. I highly recommend them. Even though they are in GR, they came all the way to TC. Super impressed. Super happy. So glad I got it done last year before prices skyrocketed. But they are a super good company. All of my questions were answered and taken care of. Just super happy. Like a lot of homeowners in west Michigan, the roof of my house sustained damage from a hail storm back in the spring. Thankfully I found Great Lakes Building Concepts on Angie's List. My experience with the company started with them helping me with my insurance company after they had already denied a claim; Aaron clearly found evidence of hail damage, and things were worked out. Great Lakes ended up replacing my roof, my metal carport roof, and my gutters. In all three cases, the work was done quickly, professionally, and the results are amazing. The gutters look much better and were installed in a better fashion than the old ones, and the roof and the venting for the roof is a huge improvement over the vent cap system on my old roof. Great Lakes uses quality materials, and is responsive to phone calls. The carport roof replacement was reasonably priced. I cannot recommend them highly enough, and they will be the first company I contact for future house projects like siding.

I am a licensed attorney with degrees in civil and mechanical engineering. I spent several years building barns and supervising concrete, steel, reinforcing, foundations, and soils on major construction projects. The roofers showed up on the date and time expected and the tear-off and installation were completed. I was disappointed they did not knock on the door so I could look things over before they left. After looking things over I found 2 issues. The 2 skylights were shingled over the flashing on the downhill side of the skylights which, I believe, is not proper and may likely lead to leaks over time. The only solution offered was roof cement around the skylight rather than curing the flashing issue. The second issue was the continuous ridge vent. They did not extend the slot in the decking at the peak of the roof to allow improved venting. The sales person was rather aggressive on the phone and, given the substantial completion and penalty language in the contract I felt it was best to pay in full and eliminate any continued contact with this company.

They re roofed my rental (27 squares) in one day. Complete tear off replacement of a few boards. Cleaned up the whole mess too couldn't even tell they were there except for the beautiful new roof. I'd recommend them!

I was very pleased with the service of these guys. Aaron worked on a quote with me and I appreciated his transparency and he didn't try to push me into anything. I shopped around for a while and he stood out by his honesty and straight forwardness. During the job the owner Jason also came by to check in on how things were going which showed his dedication to customer service. The crew did a great job, our roof looks great and has been up for over 6 months without any issues. I would highly recommend this group for getting work done on your roof!

We have an addition on a Ranch house that used a rubber membrane in the valleys of connecting roof lines. We had interior wall damage due to leaking. My story is about what happened when things went wrong. The night after the repair was done, it rained. We had a new leak in a new area....the kitchen. Needless to say I was very distraught. I called Great Lakes at 1147 am on a SUNDAY. They had a team back at my house in under 2 hours. We are at least 1 hour away from them. So that was impressive. While the team was on my roof the project manager came out as well. It was determined that the leak was from a skylight that was above the area we had contracted to repair. No questions, no dinking around. They got supplies and fixed it anyway! Since repairs we are nice and dry. I can not say how wonderful this company performs. I chose them off Angies list because of tbere rating. If you have ever been dissapointed in a repair or builders in the past like I have been, you can trust this company. That is not something I say lightly. This company will do it right the first time, and if something unforeseable happens, they will take care of you like family.

On time, very clean. Wide variety of products allowed me to choose quality and budget that fit best for me. Easy to work with and followed through on what I was told would be done.
