Weathervane Heating & Cooling

The technician showed up on time, from the description of our problem he suspected that the main capacitor had blown, and it had. Replacing the capacitor restored our AC.

He did an inspection/evaluation of my A/C unit and came up with some weird problem that he claimed we knew of before we bought the house so the Homeowner's Insurance would not cover it. This made no sense to me. I was not there when he looked at it so I tried to call the office to see if he could explain to me how he could know such a thing. So I called the office and left 3 messages with the receptionist asking him to call me back to explain it to me and he never did. Finally I called the Homeowner's Insurance Company and explained the situation to them and even they didn't think it made any sense. So they called the guy that looked at it and talked to him and called me back. They said he wasn't making sense and they paid for another company to come out and take a look. The new repairman said the other guy made no sense and something else completely was wrong. And they fixed it. He also noted that this was not the first time they had to follow Weathervane on a call.

Hailie and Joe came by and provided an estimate. They were both very knowledgeable and informative. One thing that was really nice was that Joe was actually part of the crew that installed the systems. Other estimates I got were just from marketing/estimators, not from the actual crew.

The estimate was competitive with others I had received. The big sell was that it included the tankless system, while the other estimates were all for a cast iron boiler and were the same price.

They were able to start the work almost immediately. It was a week long job but they did not have a problem doing the job while I was away at work. Joe was incredibly helpful since he decided to go ahead and re-pipe a part of the radiant heat network that he didnt initially plan to and did not charge me extra for it. He also worked a couple very long days to make sure the job got done as quick as possible.

The only error they made was the path they wanted to run one of the AC lines was miscalculated and they had to run it a different way than I had initially asked for because it had a maximum length they had to keep it under. Ultimately, it was a minor issue and did not cost me anything additional and I am still very pleased with the results.

My boiler was not firing up and just making a buzzing noise when switched on. The contractor showed up later than anticipated due to a job before mine that lasted long, but I understand that these things happen. He was quickly able to determine that the previous homeowner wired the boiler improperly and the electronics were fried. He was knowledgeable and friendly. No complaints here.
NOTE: Please ignore the cost of service. This was a service fee through my home warranty and does not reflect the cost if I didn't have one. AL requires me to put something in the box.
