April 6 2023, work began. May 12, Erik said powerwash to begin next week. May 18, I texted him asking when to expect the powerwash. He said I'm next on his list (he likes to say this). May 22, he asked to stop by at 5pm so we could pick out a stain color. Didn't show. Texted him at 7:56pm. He said he'd come next day at 9am. Didn't show. Texted him at 10:47am, he said we're next on his list (again). Monday June 5, team stained back deck, I paid for the project in full. Erik told me he would be back the first of August to complete work in front. August/September came & went. No communication. September 26, I texted Erik. He apologized, blamed weather, and said I'm next on the list (again). He said job to be completed Friday or Saturday. Did not show either day. 6:51pm Saturday evening, he texted me and told me he'd show up Monday to finish the job, which he did. While the quality of work was acceptable, how they choose to do business is not. I do not recommend hiring this company.

"Thank you for the honest review mr [Member Name Removed]. As you have stated on this review as well as others you have now left there was no issue with quality of work performed. We were always in full communication with us and you had my direct cell phone and I always responded within a 24 hr time with you. This business is all WEATHER DEPENDENT among other factors like add ons to repairs. Equipment failure employee issues etc… this year had a ton of rain. More than most years including two tornadoes in our service area. We always state from day 1 all time frames are dependent on that. Everything was fine with your job until we couldn’t come back in August. We never stated August first as we never state exact days due to weather etc. we stated would should be back sometime in August to paint repaired railings on porch as the pressure treated lumber needed time to dry out which should be done before painted. We never forgot about you and job was completed. We never asked you to pay in full before we came back either. As for the last weekend you state before finishing job I didn’t come until Monday because there was rain well into Thursday and even if it was dry Friday or Saturday doesn’t mean your deck was dry enough to paint with the cooler nights. Monday was the best day to return for optimal moisture level."

Fantastic. It looks brand new again but better with the Chestnut oil stain compared with my old Lemon Gold water based stain. My neighbors are impressed also. Efficient and thorough expert crew. They knew what I needed more than I did. Highly Recommend!!!

We hired Royalty to power wash and stain our deck. Work was supposed to be done in 4 weeks. Four months later, company has not shown up and will not return phone calls.

"As we spoke yesterday on phone. We have been facing major setbacks due to weather and material shortages this year on top of short staff due to pandemic. We are sorry that we missed your call as we are working basically around the clock to get all of our clients decks finished. We follow a schedule and tackle decks as they signed in order. As stated we will be out this coming week to power wash. Sorry for any inconvenience and our lack of communication during this trying time we are all in"

We highly recommend that you give Royalty Deck Restoration the opportunity to discuss your deck requirements and needs. We did and we were glad that we did. Erik Land, the owner, personally came to our house and discussed the project in detail and gave us a very competitive bid. The bid was based upon the condition of our deck and what our expectations were. Our deck was untreated and is a year old. Erik and his team power washed the deck one week and then sanded and sealed it the next week. The outcome was terrific. Erik won the bid over 2 other companies based upon cost, excellent past reviews, and outstanding service. We will be using this company for years to come.

Eric arrived at the time he said he would told me the problem, and how he would fix it. I was so frustrated with how my deck looked, stain was peeling, and chalky. We talked about his work history, and his service, and I liked his personality. They protected my plants around the deck, and stones, they did everything they said they would do and it turned out beautiful. I told all my neighbors about him plus several friends. I will have him back in the future.

We had Royalty Deck Restoration rebuild our decades-old deck and add a railing, and they did a great job, so we didn’t think twice about having them come back when it was time to do the staining. The guys are very good about listening to the needs of the customer. They are reliable, good at communicating, do beautiful work, and clean up thoroughly. Highly recommend.

Ryan and Erik were extremely professional and did such a great job on our deck project. We showed them some photos of the type of deck, railing and skirting we hoped for with the deck and they offered great recommendations on how to proceed. They showed us so many great options for stains too, which we didn't even know there were so many. They communicated well throughout the entire process and delivered an excellent product at the end. We couldn't be happier with our deck. We did talk with several other deck companies about the work and the detailed conversations that we had with Royalty along with the pricing were why we selected them. We originally hired them in 2017 for the deck build. But, our most recent service was adding the stain in 2019. The price in the "approximate cost of service" was for the rebuild and extension of our deck. The power washing and staining was approximately $700.

We are a repeat customer, and like before, we are very pleased with the work they did with being so busy. It’s hard to find companies that are honest, Erik told me because it was nearing the end of the season they might not get to us when we were wanting our deck done but they would try their best, and they sure did! Erik was very nice and easy to talk to, and when finished with the job, he let me know when they were done and to give him a call if I had any questions or issues with anything, which we didn’t. We will be using them again in the future for sure! For anyone looking to get work done to their deck I recommend Royalty Deck Restoration, very reasonable in price as well!

Eric, Ryan and Keith were amazing. Eric always kept us informed and explained everything every step of the way. Our deck needed extensive repair and they were very reasonable for what they charged. The deck now looks awesome and we are thrilled with the work they did! We will definitely have them back for deck maintenance. Our neighbor saw the quality of their work and hired them for next season. I can't thank them enough for the great job.

I would Highly Recommend Royalty Restoration. I had aging deck requiring reskinning and ultimately reframing completed this week. Their work was exceptional from my perspective. The lead deck builder brought creativity to the project and his skilled team worked hard. The craftsmanship appears excellent and I hope to enjoy it for many years. The interactions between myself and Royalty was excellent. Their estimate\cost was reasonable, quality better. Besides a short postponement to the project start due to the weather, they completed a significant project over a couple of weeks. Erik and team did an excellent job! They repaired the existing fencing, instead of completely replacing it which would have costed a great deal more. They called when the weather was bad to delay - but then showed up promptly when the weather finally improved. The job was done quickly, expertly and professionally. I would definitely hire them again!

Excellent service and job well done! Very professional company who committed to and kept timelines. I have an unique Pergola that was very labor intensive to sand and stain and Royal Deck Restoration had several employees work on it to get it completed. From beginning to end the responsiveness and service was top notch. I also referred a family member's deck tear out and redone which turned out beautifully with the same excellent service. Ryan is a hard worker and very conscientious. He is very knowledgeable. He completed our deck the way we wanted it and made sure we were happy. He also has a hard working assistant. Our new deck looks and feels wonderful! We look forward to many years of use with our beautiful deck, and virtually maintenance-free!
