Description of Work: Jim built floor to ceiling bookcases in the basement, stairs to match oak floors on first floor, library book shelves, matching custom desk with drawers that go the full depth of the desk for extra storage we love. He is creative, with great ideas and attention to details. The finished rooms look spectacular.

+ -1 moreJim was recommended by a friend who worked for a local lumber company--a good source for such recommendations. We had had a house fire and he restored the house better than it had been before the fire. He worked well with the insurance adjuster, and coordinated the various sub-contractors [painters, cleaners, electricians] well. In general it as well as one could expect, and if the need arose, I would definitely use him again.
Description of Work: Fire restoration, including cleaning, rough and finish carpentry, electrical, and painting. He also dealt with the insurance adjuser on our behalf.

+ -1 moreWe showed Jim our designs, he gave us advice about what could be done and how he would do it, and then did a great job. The measurements were perfect and workmanship outstanding. We would not be able to buy the same quality product at this price in a store.
Description of Work: Jim built a custom designed book case and desk for our den. The book case goes from floor to ceiling, with cupboards and doors on the bottom. The desk is typical executive style but had to be built a special size to fit the room. Jim hired a painter to stain and finish the wood to match the cherry wood in our kitchen. The match is beautiful. The drawers and doors work beautifully. The job turned out so well that he is making more book cases for our basement family room.
