Excellent!! Even with the delays caused by shortage of materials and slowed transportation of the generator and chip, Shawn came through with his very good crew and got the job done. Everything was put back and cleaned up. We couldn’t be happier. We recommend Gen Pro wholeheartedly!!

Customer service is important to me and Shawn and his team did not disappoint! They arrived on time, worked together like a well-oiled machine and did a great job cleaning up. They even distributed the soil that had been removed to place the generator, over low area spots on my lawn. From start to finish, they handled everything from coordinating with Consumers Energy to pulling the necessary permits. Shawn was onsite throughout the installation and it was clear that these guys enjoyed working together. They follow-up for maintenance for which you don't have to prepay. Great service!

I could not be happier. Shawn and his crew worked all day on a very cold February day to not only install the standby generator but they also completed a major clean-up of my electrical circuit panel AND ran a gas line to my kitchen AND helped me hook up my wife's gas stove. This company was very responsive and fun to deal with!! I highly recommend this company.

Sean was very professional he called immediately and set up a time and day for me and when he couldn’t make it he gave me a courtesy email as well as a call to reschedule the date due to him working on a hospital. He sent out Tyler who showed up on time and to get me informed on the work that he was doing. Even though it was very very cold that day yet he still went ahead and did his job professionally! I will use them again in the future and yes I highly recommend them! I have noticed that my generator actually sounds more quiet now than it did in the beginning when I first bought it!

After living with 2 power outages that lasted for days this summer we decided it was time for a whole house generator. I checked Angies List and found Gen Pro. All the reviews are accurate. Shawn (the owner) is terrific. He does what he says he will do, when he says he will do it, and is so responsive, I had to get better at checking my emails to see his notes. The job was done completely, on time and by a group of very dedicated workers. The last accolade was when the inspector from Livingston County came over to review the job, he said, "Oh Shawn at Gen Pro did this? He does an excellent job. I know it was done right!" That told me we picked the right contractor. You won't be disappointed if you choose Gen Pro!

From the moment I first spoke with Shawn, it was clear that he takes pride in his work. Often contractors over promise and under deliver. This was exactly the opposite. We agreed on the work last week and I was told it would be several weeks before installation. Shawn called yesterday with an opening in his schedule and my generator was installed less than a week after ordering. Shawn and his team were punctual, kind, competent. No one tried to upsell me which has been my experience with other contractors. Gen Pro was an absolute pleasure to work with. Call Shawn. You won't go wrong. (ps My dog especially liked them, which also speaks to how what good people they are).

Shawn arrived on time, performed the necessary work plus additional work he felt necessary at the originally agreed upon price. Work was done quickly and well in extremely cold weather. We had great customer service and will definitely use this company again.

Showed on time every time from estimate thru to inspections. Focused install effort was done to the highest professional level. No fooling around. Just had first power outage since install and the backup performed perfectly! If you're going to get a backup generator, these are the guys and Koehler is your product.

Shawn has assembled a great team. He brought a licensed plumber and electrician along with his GenPro crew. They spent the entire day installing the generator, extending our natural gas line, and replacing our existing, outdated electrical service. As you might expect with an older home, the day was filled with surprises and but these guys had the know how and experience to handle whatever came up. They worked quickly and efficiently and everything they did looked great when they were done. I couldn't be more pleased.

From quote through installation, Shawn provided an outstanding experience. I had 3 companies quote this job, and only Shawn spent the time educating me and explaining my options. From placement of the generator to explaining the options for different transfer switches and patiently answering all of my questions on the installation and process. Shawn was a wealth of information and made the process stress-free. Shawn and his crew of 5 arrived at the agreed upon time for installation. Both the electrical and gas trades did a great job, leaving a clean, professional looking installation. Shawn took the time to help me with the warranty registration and set up the OnCue application. All in all, a great experience, I highly recommend this company.

Shawn and crew were excellent. When we initially made the decision to get bids, we had 3 other vendors estimate the project. By far, Shawn was the most thorough, responsive, and knowledgeable. He asked us several questions to be sure he not only recommended the right size, but also the right brand (Kohler). After the initial quote, I had several follow-up questions and he would respond to emails within minutes. On the day of install, he and the crew showed up on time, were respectful of our home putting sheets down on the floors, and explained they would be in and out of the house. The job took about 4 hours and prior to departure, we made sure everything was tested and in working order. This included running the generator and testing the load with different circuits running (AC). Post install, we had to get the inspections - all went well - and Shawn was here to answer any questions the inspector had. I would highly recommend Gen Pro. We are very pleased. Just waiting for that first power outage. ;)

Amazing! Not only was I impressed by the work that Shawn and his crew did but the inspector from my Township who came to sign off on the electrical work was impressed! Everywhere he looked he said the same thing - "this is great work - it's above and beyond most anything I've seen." There are not enough superlatives to adequately describe the experience - the equipment, the crew, the work done and the ease with which everything was completed. Awesome.

In all regards the service Shawn D provided was professional and timely. Estimate-Accurate Schedule-On time Installation was well done. Neat appearance. Necessary code reviews well and promptly handled On-cue was installed using my power line internet unit A significant effort went into modifying the plug to my stove to make the entire installation consistent with Meridian Township code. The one thing I did not expect was a statement saying the 10% Angies List discount was dependent on a review. In this regard, I normally delay reviews for at least 6 months or a year to see if anything unfortunate or unexpected occurs.

When Shawn gave his estimate, we gained a lot of knowledge about generators.  The other companies could not compete with his knowledge, personality or price.
Shawn and his crew did a great job.  Other than having the generator here, nothing was left out of place and no mess.  Shawn took care of everything right down to registering the warranty on the generator. 
We could not have asked for anything more for Shawn or his crew. I would highly recommend them to anyone and would use this company again for any of my electrical or plumbing needs.

Shawn was very professional and personable – took time to explain every step so you could understand what they were doing and why very considerate, knowledgeable, wonderful team, all were pleasant and easy to work with, worth every penny, excellent prices and overall experience – when they were done you couldn't tell there was whole crew here. This is my first generator so I had no idea what the installation entailed.  Shawn showed up with his crew and got right to work.  Then after a little while, more crew members showed up.  I learned there is quite a bit of work involved with installation of a generator and Shawn has a great crew.  5 hours later the work was done and Shawn explained there really isn't much for the homeowner to do now except wait for the first power outage!!   I feel confident if there are any problems, Shawn will be very responsive.

Shawn did a great job for us.  You could not ask for anyone more knowledgeable, reliable and trustworthy. He took personal responsibility for making sure the installation was perfect. When  he committed to being here...he was ALWAYS here.  We will be using him for routine maintenance and would highly recommend him.
