The base shingles are holding up to the 25 year warranty but Drew building used a different non matching shingle to cap the roof and after 15 years these are crumbling and need to be replaced at a cost to me.
Contacted Drew building and spoke to the owner, he states" this is normal practice to use a Non matching different shingle to cap the roof".
I paid to have 25 year shingles on the roof and that is what I expected to have.
Contacting other contractors they never heard of using two different shingle on a roofing project.
Drew building will not stand behind there work so I am forced to give a poor rating.
If you get a reroof be sure to state and get in writing that all the shingles used are what you paid for.
