Accu-Temp Heating & Air Conditioning

Have a boiler & forced air system in house. Boiler has gas smell in exhaust. Accu-Temp has come out 3 times over 2 years and still not fixed. Also have a thermostat that the screen died which was installed by them with new forced air system only 6 years ago. was told that it would be an $800 rewire and replacement, I balked at the number and asked why the cost was so high. Was told by the owner if I have a problem with that I should call the manufacture because he was tired of dealing with people "like me" complaining about it. Not the first rude conversation I have had with the owner.

Accu-Temp took the time to talk with Dr. Flue (another great company!) to get an understanding of the ventilation problem we were having. Accu-Temp was professional, did excellent work and took the time to explain what they did. In addition to installing a whole home ventilation system, they also cleaned and serviced the furnace and fixed the humidifier. They identified a couple of things that they offered to replace/fix, giving us a price ahead of time. They were very thorough and detailed in their work. A great company!!

Ron the service tech was very professional, efficient and a pleasure to deal with. He was right on time and repaired the furnace in no time. I also asked for an idea of what a new system would cost and he provided a very detailed description of what is available and what will be done with estimates. No pressure. Decided to hold off on replacement for now.

They were fabulous. They were very professional and they were here on time. There were no problems at all. It was in the winter so he put stuff down on the steps because I have carpeted steps going into my basement and he wore booties as well. Everything was very professional.

The heater tune up costs a little more, but there are no "hidden" charges. Ron came out, did a furnace tune up, cleaned out all the lines, checked the humidifier, changed the filter, found a small pipe joint not glued well (it caused the small leak of humidifier water on the floor last winter) he cleaned it out and re-glued it at no charge. I've used them in the past for a furnace and humidifier check and plan to continue using them. They are a very courteous and professional group.

I hired accu-temp to take a look at my furnace after it stopped running correctly. The furnace would turn on and then instantly turn off or it would run for 20 minutes straight. I Iive in Howell and I like to support local companies as much as possible. After doing a little research on them I sent them an email about the issues and within ten minutes they called me back. After explaining my problem the employee I spoke to said he thought it needed a tune up. We scheduled an appointment for two days later. I couldn't get out of work so my father agreed to wait at the house for them. The tech (I don't know his name) arrived when he said he would and did a great job. He determined that my furnace just needed a tune up and a new filter in the humidifier. He also identified that a number of runs had been closed and that was why the upstairs was so cold. As a new home owner I didn't know to look for stuff like this. After finishing up in the basement he looked at the thermostat we had installed. We had used a older digital thermostat we got as a hand me down. The tech checked the wiring to make sure everything was correct - thankfully it was. He then told us we should upgrade because the model we were using was usually 4 degrees off (i.e. I set it for 68 and it is really 64). We picked a new one up at home depot and installed it that evening. I would highly recommend Accu-temp.

Highly recommend Accu-Temp (www.fixyourfurnace.com). Recently purchased home and furnace was not firing. Called Accu-Temp on a recommendation and scheduled a service call for a "tune up". They confirmed my appointment window yesterday, and then called this morning to say that a service tech was available a little bit earlier if it was convenient for me. Jake arrived a short while later and did an AWESOME job. I really cannot say enough about him. First thing he did when he stepped through the door...put booties over his shoes. Small touch, yes, but very reassuring. We laughed as he then promptly took them off before we headed into the Michigan basement. Jake probably spent a good 3-3 1/2 hours diagnosing and fixing the problem with the non-firing furnace. In the end, it was a bad ignitor, which he replaced from parts on the truck. In addition, he completed a thorough tune-up of the system and even recommended (and performed) a swap out of the electronic filter for a box-type one. Considering all of the time he spent and work he did, I felt like the charges were more than fair. I would highly recommend Accu-Temp of Howell (Brighton, Fowlerville) and, if you're lucky, you may even get Jake as your service tech. He was extremely courteous, explained everything he did, and helped me understand the system better. All in all, a great service experience!

Fantastic! They called to say they were running early and whether it was okay for the guy to come out. They did not try to sell me any parts for outrageous prices like the last company I hired tried to do. Plus, the guy showed me that I didn't need a new humidifier filter, so he did not charge me for a new filter. He also showed me how to install it myself. Exellent service!

I have been using their services for eight or nine years. They have also done some modifications to our furnace and some duct work. We have never had any problems. They seem very responsive, reliable, polite, know what they are doing and clean up after themselves.
