BISSONETTE'S SEW & VAC

Vacuum repair that was desperately needed in our home. We brought it into the shop got a free estimate and no surprises and we had it back in three days. It was explained to us what was needed which we really appreciated and the work was done and the parts were installed and while we have a nice like brand new vacuum cleaner now. Such a delight to have somebody like this it’s so pleasant to work with and has quick efficient service. We even got a warranty on the work that they did and we haven’t had any problems at all.

My dog chewed the electrical cord in half so I took it in to have a new cord put on the vacuum. It was a cheaper Eureka . He said he was backed up with work and would call me when it was ready. After almost 2 weeks I called him and left a message during business hours that I really needed my vacuum. He called me back 3 hours later to tell me it was done. I should have asked how much the bill was because when I got there he told me it was $65 to replace the cord. I was shocked! I told him if I had known that I would have bought a new vacuum since this one only cost $5 at a rummage sale. In retrospect I wish I would have asked for an estimate of the repair before he did it. I paid the $65 and left feeling like I was cheated. I did question him as to why the repair was so much and he said the cheaper vacuums are more difficult to fix and then tried to sell me one of his expensive vacuums. I know when you get a car repaired they always give you and estimate first. In this case he gave me no estimate and I felt I had no choice but to pay the bill. So, if you go there I recommend getting an estimate first.
