Home Depot

I was happy with Home Depot or I wouldn't have paid them. I guess it was satisfactory. There was one there that did that did the cupboards, and there was two that did the countertop, and there was one that came back and did some splash guards, so there was four workers that came out.

The door knob on the back door freezes up and it WILL NOT OPEN unless 2 people are there, one on each side to work the knob to make it turn.  I complained. They came and looked at it, it didn't freeze up on them so they said if it continues to call and they would replace it. I had surgery on both hands  went out the door to feed my dogs and could not get back in. I had to climb thru my dog door to get into my house. I called HD  after an argument with Pro Supervisor Tom Newman, he said against company policy to replace it. Another argument took place when he agreed to replace it himself. We set up a date and he stood me up. I called HD twice since then to no avail-he will not return my calls.

When estimating for quantity of carpet needed, they did so that there would have been 3 separate pieces of carpet in the room.
The installer arrived and determined that the way the room had been  measured would not allow the placement to work out correctly. There would have been a huge noticeable difference where the pattern and nap of the carpet met. In addition, the seems would have been in the area of the room that received the most foot traffic.
New carpet needed to be ordered, delaying the project another four weeks.
Recently the seam in the carpet started to separate. We stopped by Home Depot to have the installer come out and look at it. We were told that the installation warranty was for one year. We offered to pay for the repairs but the store was unresponsive.
Needless to say, we will not be purchasing big ticket items from our "friendly neighborhood" Home Depot. Nor will we be recommending them to our fiends.
