When I made this appointment, I asked for three men because the items being moved were extremely large and heavy. I was quoted that rate in confirmation emails. However, only two men showed up but were unable to do the job without our help. I feel they put themselves and us in a dangerous situation. When I contacted the office, they were unwilling to do anything about it.

This was the first time I've used movers and I was so nervous about it. Two Men and a Truck was amazing! I didn't have anything to worry about!
Tim, the owner, came out to my Spring Lake condo twice to give estimates: one before we moved things on our own and the second after. He answered all the questions that I had, both in person and via e-mail. We moved from a 3rd floor condo with a 1 car garage to ranch style house with basement. Tim quoted me for 2 movers and 1 truck. On the day of the move, 3 movers showed up with the one truck. BUT I was still only charged the quoted rate for 2 movers! Thanks, Tim!!
Jordan, Bob and Steve (I think that was their names!) did an excellent job. They each carried at least two boxes downstairs every time. They didn't use any extra equipment - I don't know if that's normal or not. They wrapped my dressers in cellophane and padded all my furniture once it was taken down to the truck. We also arranged in advance to have the refrigerators swapped out between the condo and the new house. I felt really bad for them taking that huge fridge down three flights of stairs! (But they did use their dolly for that.) I had a couple of heavy items that I took with me in my car and they carried them down and loaded them in for me.
Once we got to the house, they were fast to unload. All furniture and boxes were put where I requested and re-located if I changed my mind. I was nervous when I saw a few boxes had been a little crushed, but nothing inside was damaged. Perhaps that was my fault for not adding paper to those boxes. I had an older bookcase - one of those where you put it together yourself. The backing got split almost from top to bottom. Steve apologized for that and I could tell he felt really bad about it. Luckily, I'm not particularly attached to it so I wasn't upset. I noticed that the bottom of it got dented a little, too. (To be fair, I'm not 100% certain both things hadn't already been like that.) I'm also pretty sure that a little bit of the glass inserts in my coffee table got chipped, but again, I don't know for sure if it had been like that before the move. Plus I had to sign a wavier to allow them to move it anyway so I don't think they would replace it if I made a claim. Other than those couple of things, everything arrived safely and in one piece.
The 3 movers finished the move in only 5.5 hours (which included taking the fridge from the house back to the condo) instead of the estimated 7. (Although Tim had said it probably wouldn't take them the full 7 hours.)
Overall, I am extremely pleased with the service from Two Men and a Truck. I felt bad because I had probably packed some of the boxes too heavy, but they never complained or commented about it. They also really struggled to get the refrigerator out of the kitchen and downstairs and again, never complained. Two of the three were very young so I don't know how much prior training or experience they had, but I would definitely recommend them. If I ever move again (which I'm not!), I wouldn't hesitate to hire the Lakeshore franchise of Two Men and a Truck!

They did a nice job. I would give them an overall B.
