 + -1 moreRex treated me better than a customer - like a family member for whom he wanted the best, smartest, most cost-efficient solution. Yes, it ended up we had to replace our entire septic system, but we worked with wonderful people he recommended who got it done beautifully in a tiny amount of time.
Description of Work: I got a call from my renters that they couldn't flush the toilets in my cottage out at the Lakeshore - on a Friday morning. I was at work in Grand Rapids, calling every plumber I could find in Holland. I got ahold of Rex who listened to my description and said "Sounds like your septic, call and get it pumped out and I'll get my guy to inspect the system." So I got it pumped out the same day and then Rex coordinated the inpection/diagnosis part of the problem, recommended the septic system replacement experts - Voss & Sons, they were amazing - and came and replaced our old water-wasting toilet with a new one, which was NOT easy. Our bathroom dates from the 1950s, nothing is a standard size; he found a toilet that would work with a 9-inch rough-in (now I know all these terms!) without cutting/angling the drain pipe which would have called for ANOTHER permit. And he took our garbage disposal out, too. I really appreciated his advice and bulldogging on all the stuff that had to happen really fast in Holland while we were in Grand Rapids doing our jobs.... I don't think he charged us for any of the consulting/advice stuff.
