Description of Work: Very reasonable pricing. Mitchell's came out and did a full Chimney inspection and cleaning. They were very knowledgeable and helpful. This is our first home with a fireplace so we definitely needed a little educating. They were great and patient with us and all our questions. Our chimney is now like new!

Description of Work: They scheduled the cleaning and inspection of the chimney promptly after I called. The service tech spent about ten minutes, maybe fifteen at most, cleaning and inspecting the chimney; he said everything was fine, like new and in good repair, safe to use. I was pleased that he didn't try to sell me any unnecessary repairs. I thought he could have spent more time with the cleaning. He had left his car running in my driveway which made me think he did not intend to spend long, even before looking at the chimney. His attitude was professional and courteous, he showed me how to open and close the flue when I asked, but he did seem in a hurry.

+ -1 moreI knew that my damper was rusted out, it was determined in our home inpection. I originally only ordered a chimney cleaning $79.95. The technician arrived on time and he was very pleasant. I at that time told him about the damper and explained that the house was new to us. He said that he would evaluate and clean everything and then let me know his findings. He set up tarps to maintain our homes cleanliness and proceeded to evaluate the firebox area, and flue. While he was on the roof he told me that my chimney needed some caulking and offerred the use of his ladder, and pointed out the area that needed to be caulked. I was impressed that he was more interested in our happiness more than his possible future income. I asked him to install the chimney cap/ damper $235.00. He gave me the lifetime warranty paperwork, and said that he would personally honor the warranty, and the work, and that if I had any problems to just call him.
Description of Work: I had our chimney cleaned and inspected, and we had a chimney cap with damper installed.
