Drywall Service, Interior Painting
Robert is tidy and effecient, a true professional. He arrived with drop cloths and help me move my furniture out of the way. The job was done on time and under what he quoted (I got my receipt for the materieals handed back and the change!) I have told many people about Robert and a friend used him to fix a leak in her basement plaster up the damage and paint the walls. She too was extremely impressed by his work and ethics. He suggested other work she may want to consider having done to avoid problems in the future and did not charge her for the consultation.
You don't meet many contractors like Robert Bishop. When you do you count yourself lucky!

Drywall Service
Robert came out to our house, gave estimate, gave us a date to do the work. Arrived on time, completed the job ahead of time, and charged less than original estimate. The work was excellent.

Drywall Service
Before Christmas my wife used Angie's List to find a contractor to tape and mud our basement drywall after we hung all the drywall. Before we finished hanging all the drywall ( 2 small walls were left, and the bulkheads) we contacted Robert to come out and give an estimate to finish hanging the drywall, tape and mud the seams, fix any of my imperfections, sand the seams, cleanup and leave the basement walls ready for primer. Robert showed up the next day and showed my wife what we had done wrong and how he thought he could fix it. She was impressed with his knowledge and is experience of working as a union drywaller for 28 years. He gave an estimate of $700-800. He called her back 2 days later and said he had an idea of how to fix (straighten out our bulkheads) and could do all the work for $600. I've never had a contractor call and LOWER his price! After hearing this I called him back and asked if he could come out and show me what he was going to do and to make sure we worked out my expectations of the work he was going to do. He explained his fix for my bulkhead and said we would just have to pay for the plywood and glue he would need (approx $150). He agreed to show me the receipt and I would reimburse him for the materials. He said he could get the work done in about 6 days, working from 9am-4pm. We agreed for him to start the Monday after Christmas and I was done the Monday following New Years. He did a great job with fixing my errors and making the walls as flat and smooth as he could. Some of the framing behind the drywall wasn't perfect so the wall isn't totally flat, but that was my mistake, not his. And he did a great job of trying to minimize the "wavyness". Overall Robert is a great drywaller and I'm happy with the price and time frame of completion.

Exterior Painting, Pressure Washing
The brick was beginning to flack and powder. Robert washed the foundation brick, primed with a tinted sealant, then applied 2 coats of paint. The first he rolled on for coverage, the second he sprayed to get into the deep cracks. He had to crawl under the deck to finish the back of the house. Another great job. Labor and materials were included.

Exterior Painting
Robert took a shabby deck and breathed new life into it. I thought the deck was a goner and would have to be replaced but Robert replaced the handrails and steps and railing and with the wash and stain it looks great. The plastic storm window is now more kid friendly.

Drywall Service, Interior Painting + 2 more
They came in and patched and painted with such care and attention to detail that my 60 year old walls look like brand new drywall!!! I was so pleased with their work I hired them to do additional light carpentry and tile work last year and they are now working on my sister-in-law's home in Grosse Pointe right now. Robert is a master drywall installer and his son does beautiful tile work.
