I was looking for durable lawn furniture and I stopped in at Northern Accents, I was shown photos of 3 yr old pieces, and was show what type of sealant was used.  I was particully concerned as  I had put an all weather sealant on some other chairs (3 coats)  and they looked bad after one year of use.  I was told that these would hold up to the weather and that they leave them out during the winter.  The chairs were delivered and shortly thereafter the arms developed sever cracks, they ordered new arms for the worst chair and I went and picked them up.  These chairs were stored indoors over the fall/winter/spring.  When I put them out they had severly discolored, (Blackened)  I called the store and spoke with the owner (Wife) she said her husband (Tony) would come out and look at them.  a week later he called and then came out to inspect them.  He advised me that they weren't  THAT bad, that they had had some the year before that were totally black!   All I needed to do was buy a deck cleaner and clean them and restain/seal them.  I want the ones that looked great after three years!  I don't think the materials used to stain/seal them was of a good quality (Home Depot doesn't carry it anymore).  I paid a premium price and expected a quality product.  The wife said they would make it right, the husband said he was sorry there was nothing he would do.
