GROSSE POINTE LANDSCAPING INC

Very great work, just difficult to get ahold of.

I hired the company this spring to do spring clean up, prep and lay sod along our front walkway, and mow the yard on weekly basis.  The prices were competitive, and the couple that came to the house seemed interested in our business.
They did a good job with the clean up, and have been punctual with mowing.  The problems with them lie in customer service.  We waited and waited for the sod to be laid, and I could not reach a human to ask when it would be done.  There was no answer and no voice mail.  Is this any way to run a business in this day and age?
I finally caught the mowing crew and they conveyed my query to the owners.  I was ready to hire another company to do the work, if they didn't get here with the sod.  They missed my deadline to go elsewhere by one day.
The crew that did the sod did a fine enough job, it was the lack of communication (and the feeling that I had to beg to get it done) that left me dissatisfied.
The company only seems to have large equipment and they don't want to be bothered with jobs that require more than just minimal upkeep.  When I had a revision done to our deck, and then installed brick pavers, I called to advise them, and to ask about not having the large mower drive on the pavers and new sod in the backyard.  I wanted to know if they had the proper equipment to do the backyard without ruining our new pavers.
I tried the office phone-again with no answer and no ability to leave a message!  After the sod fiasco I had been given the owner's cell phone number.  I called and left a message there, and again no reply.  Knowing that Tuesday was my usual mowing day, I tried calling one more time before they would arrive.  I happened to be home when the crew showed, and felt the owner was not wanting to comply with my request.
While Grosse Pointe Landscaping may be fine if you have a quick, easy mowing job, don't expect any fast reply to a message, IF you are able to leave one!

I cannot say enough about the level of service that I receive from Grosse Pointe Landscaping. Obviously, I keep hiring them for more services because of the quality service they have provided. Keith and Jen are wonderful and I can always contact them with any questions or concerns. The company is very professional and I always receive quality service from them. I highly recommend their company.

They were fantastic and they really knew what they were going. They were experts, easy to work with and prompt. I have no complaints and they were good. Everything was great and the tree that they trimmed looked amazing this year. I would definitely recommend them.

They were initially hard to reach and didn't communicate well about when they would be over to do the work, but when they did come they did a great job. In just a couple of hours, they removed a tree and two large shrubs from our yard, and performed a major pruning on a very overgrown crabapple. They also moved a holly bush to a different location in the yard. Their cleanup was thorough and their price very reasonable. Better yet, the crabapple and holly are thriving three months later!
